So Dave
Got the air brake kit delivered today and this is what it is. A manual brake valve, some aluminum hubs, looks like a brake disc, aluminum spacers, some festo fittings and airline and he also included a pilot bit and tap. So I am not sure what goes where for sure. Bogo is suppose to send me some install pictures. Will let you know how it installs and works hopefully within the next few days.

Well I have now installed the air brakes system on the A-10. The only thing that I changed from what they sent me was the brake valve. I used an Ultra Precsion one that I had. Now I can say that I have a working brake system. I wished the electric brakes would have worked. Maybe someday they will have it worked out. Obviouly the principle and the technology is there, but the design seems to fall short.
If any of you folks are having problems with your electrics I would definatley go air, becasue you have to have something substantial to stop that Hog.
In the process of cleaning up my install now, so hope to have some pictures sooon.

Hi Jimibar
Doesn't look like your attachment is coming through on RCU right now.

Yes Jimibar
That looks very impressive. That will look great on the A-10. Do you know what paint scheme you will be using?

Hi,

I am sorry - no air system in mine right now....

In my old Gen 3 - I had two large tanks and one BVM valve for mains and one large tank and one BVM valve for the nose. One small tank for brakes with a UP6. I had them all on the floor behind the cockpit.[

Hello Alan, your A10 looks really great ! Love that dark camo scheme.

Dave, yes they are printed using PLA material.

Few shots of my A10 with a "few" ordnance

Hey Jimibar
Obviously you got your A-10 and that pretty much the way I got mine. Are you going to start your build right away or later. At least you're all set up with your own made ordinance. Now the fun begins.
Looks like your kitty's got a new hiding spot.

I've already started the build in fact. Cockpit is a pain to fit and I've built a custom tub to get everything installed properly.
Last night I've fitted the wings lights. By the way I'm wondering one thing, I can't get the position lights (red and green) working at the same time. It seems the P2 is not configured, both LEDs are working when I plug them on P1 but P2 is not. The manual for the light unit is not really clear ...

I just finished printing a new bomb : M117

And in case you wonder the weight of the ordnance I'm printing, it is pretty light ! 104g / 3.7oz

Next part will be a TER

Hey Jimibar
Good to see you are not letting any grass grow under you. Do you mind showing what you did with the cockpit and maybe I could learn what you did and make my own mods if it could word for me.

Hi Sean
Thanks for the nice complement, your work on the 104 and the 16 definitley inspired me.

Hey Alan,
I'll trade your tank installation pictures with my cockpit pictures
(Just need time to finish the work on the dashboard installation and to take some photos.)

EDIT : I never did a twin turbines install before. How do you proceed ? Do you keep everything in the fuse and only turbines with festo connectors in the pods ? Are you using one tank per turbine ? With 2 UATs ? Or one big UAT and the 2 tanks feeding that UAT ?
Sorry for the rookie questions, all help will be greatly appreciated

Hey Jimibar
I will work at getting you some pictures tonight.
As far as twin set up, I suppose it will work accordingly with the type of engines and tanks you will go with. I have Jet Cat 140's. So with the new Jet Cat 140 RXI I have basically all my separate ECU's in the fuselage on a component deck that I made. I have seperate UAT's for each engine. With Jet Tech tank system that I shot you a picture of earlier, both engines have a seperate draw through there respective UAT to to it's own fuel line. As with this fuel tank as you see on the two bottom tanks each to a respective engine. The top main tank supplies both of the bottom tanks. So again both bottom tanks are being fed by the big main tank. If you got the stock tanks from Mibo everything would be the same except that each engine has it's own fuel tank and no other big main tank like I have.
As far as electrical connections with the RXI engines there is only one electrical harness to each engine. That's which could be viewd as the beauty or some might think the downfall of this system.
Early in my trial period it has worked well for me.
So really it is quit simple, may just seem complex. Any other questions I will try to help. Looks like your doing great so far.

Ok Jimibar
I apologize for the exposure of the photos but I hope you get the idea of how this Jet Tech tanks are plumbed. I have also included a picture of that brand of tank that I am using so it gives an idea how that tank works. I have shown a shot how not that fancy, gives you a simple way of how I fill it showing the fill lines on top of the main tank that are just supported by heavy duty black Velcro. These photos sort of show my component board where I am installing the UAT's as well. As you can see I still have more cleaning up to do in there. I still have more trial flights to make, so after those I intend to try and tidy up more then. I will try and answer more questions if I can.

Thanks Alan, I really appreciate you took the time to explain.
Any reason you are not going with the Mibo tanks ?
So to be clear, one tank and UAT per turbine. So each turbine will be independant.
Are you running 6mm or 4mm tubing ?
I'll need to keep the turbine pods removable, as I'm planning to use a Merlin M140 XBL, I think I'll have only one harness per turbine which makes it easier to connect and disconnect the pod.
I'll have one fuel line and one cable running along the fuselage per turbine.

About your custom deck, how do you fix it on the fuse ?
I've ordered 3 carbon plates to install on top of tanks, in front of the tanks and in the front of the fuse to attach the batteries. (The RXs will be on a wood plate). But I still wonder how to fix them on the fuse.

Regarding the cockpit, here are some pictures of the tub I've built. It's not finished yet but you got an idea of how it's working.
It's made of balsa with a layer of 80mg fiber.

Did you get the lightning system from Mibo (I think it's Unilight) this one :
http://www.ultimate-jets.net/product...-led-light-kit
How do you install the flahs probes on top and bottom of fuse ?
If someone can post a picture of the jumpers setup of the light unit. I have an issue with the position lights, I only get one working but both LED are fine. It seems the jumper config is not good for the P1 and P2 ports.

Hey Jimibar
Your tub looks great. A little bit like the Blue box one that is worth a lot a money these days I guess if they have one, but I think that version was a bit weighty too. I guess you will being doing a some surgery on the pilots legs to get him in there.
Two thoughts on why I used the Jet Tech tanks as I am using 140's that will burn more and I also had them so why not. Yes two tanks where the big one on top drains into both bottom tanks.
With the one line each to the engines I use 6mm basically to each nacelle and then adapt to 4mm to the last portion to the engine.
Yes keep is it basic where as you want to service one of the nacelle you unbolt it from the fuse disconnect your harness and disconnect your fuel line and you can walk away with the engine right inside the nacelle.
The deck I just installed two rails down the sides of the fuselage and mounted the deck on top with wood screws to make it removable.
For fixing the reciever I just made a side mounted deck on the fuse side where my Royal SRS sits.
Yes the light kit is from MIbo.
I have some instructions on the lighting set up. Did yours not come with any. I can maybe scan then and post and hope that works.

HI Jimibar
Here are some of the instructions I have for lighting. I may have more but these have with what you want with the jumper locations.
Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot Alan. I checked yesterday and I need to plugin all LEDs to get all of them working. So this issue is solved.
Yesterday I was installing the tail light and I broke the LED when inserting the tube in the fuse .... Can I use a 1W LED instead ? It's exactly the same LED as the one I've broke.

For the cockpit, no way I'll cut anything from this expensive pilot
It fit perfectly.

For the tanks, I'll need to order all parts to complete the installation. I still don't have the turbines yet, ordering the A10 with all options has seriously reduced my WAF (woman acceptance factor) for a few weeks. So if I want to stay alive to enjoy flying the plane I might not order 5k of turbines right now
