Congrats David, thanks for the posting!
Vincent, below are some dimensions, so I don't think that they are similar in size:

I still can't understand why all these new engines don't come with integrated fod screens like wrens do. All these gimmicks of kero start and integral valves but still no integrated fod screen

I don't think that is correct. The P60 weighs 0.87 Kg and the Kingtech is 0.70 Kg. This is the overall weight of the P60 with ancillaries. Not sure if the K45 is plus ecu and pump. For sure the K45 will have better fuel consumption than the P60 was very poor. We will have to see when one of the K45 engines is tested by RCJI. We will all be looking at this with interest.

You will not be surprised that the inspiration for the Wren style FOD guard came from the Whittle and Nene engines which had them as standard.

My Feedback: (4)
I'd be really interested in fuel burn between the two engines also (Wren 44i Gold and the K45). I wish little engines had correspondingly lower price tags! I know why they don't but these would make for awesome scratch built multi-engine setups - alas not with my hobby budget Perhaps if I got a wild hair and sold a few planes...

My Feedback: (24)
So I have a Yellow Aircraft A-4 kit (http://www.yellowaircraft.com/jets/a4.htm) that I am *going* to build for a turbine. I was originally thinking of the KingTech K-60 for it, but I wonder if a K-45 wpuld be better? The original kit was designed for a Ramtech 5 1/4" .82-powered ducted fan, or similar...
