Need help Finding correct Tuono NRG tires
I purchased a used Pirotti Tuono NRG, but the main tires have to be replaced. Can anyone assist me in locating a source for the correct replacement main tires? This plane originally was owned by Ali Machinchy and it is on the Pirotti website now. I've contacted Erwin at Airtech-Germany.de and after receiving his 85x28mm and 90x32mm tires, they don't fit my 54x24mm rims with o-ring brakes. I don't think they are Airtech-Germany gear, but a similar design or copy. The correct main tire size should be about 83 or 85x28mm. The nose tires on this plane are 75x25mm.
Thanks, Chris

Thanks Damiano, my rims look like their E4 which say use the C4 tire, but a 100mm will not fit my wheel well and would rub the strut. I'll verify dimensions with IQ Hammer. My gear does look like theirs, but mine may have had shaved tires or is a copy of the product they sell.

As a cheap solution, you may want to see if Sullivan Skylite wheels will work. However they probably won't last too long if excessive braking is used. Here's a 3.5" Sullivan Skylite on an Airtech rim without center barrel. My center barrel is way to wide, but your looks thinner so Sullivan's may work for you. Just thought I'd throw this out as a possibility.

Scott,
Thanks so much for the info, I never though of prop plane tires due to the softer foam rubber. However, I used the Sullivan 3.5" Aluminum Skylites on a few of my 55cc Gas 3D planes and they worked good, just the Dubro Treaded Lightweight seem to be the most durable big gasser tires.

Thanks for all the assistance from everyone, I think I found the tires: IQ Hammer IQ-C2 90mm Type C2 and the can be purchased from: www.jet-world.de, www.iqhammer.com, and www.team-aeroscale.com or www.vogelsang-aeroscale.com
You can see the two circle design stamps inside on the center flange match my existing tires that had those stamps ground off!
Great thanks to Damiano pointing me to IQ Hammer!
