For me, in a world class competition like this there should be no gyros,They will be doing schedules with autopilots next. By the way I was taught crosswind landings with my Precedent Hiboy Trainer when learning.

That thing was simply bad @@@. And Ali makes it look real. The quality of pilots at Top Gun was amazing this year. It's a great competition. The top guys really put on a show. I loved watching the Eurosport demo where the guy did the inverted Harrier landing manuver from about 500 feet to around 30 feet straight down. Did I say inverted lol? I've never seen a jet do that. Very cool.

Well, what has always amazed me when watching the videos from events like this is the terrible landing approaches by some of these guys. You see it time and time again. When I fly my turbines, I always learn to fly them slow and know where the limits are. Then, my landing approaches are not ridiculously fast and steep. I see these guys with jets and warbirds alike doing some of the worst landings I have seen. Too bad considering how nice the models are.

Thats why I asked how windy it was. Obviously some world class pilots there, looked like a lot of aborted landings and rough landings. Guessing it was more the weather?

From some of the videos I've seen the wind was 90 degrees and blowing HARD!

OK...we will expect to see you in the winners circle at TG 2016. It should be a shoo in for someone with your skills.

Breathtaking! I've seen pictures of your Tempest. Hope to see it in person one day.
