I am currently reworking my old Regal Eagle OS 77 Byron fan. I flew this regularly from 1990 till about 7 years ago. It is coming out of retirement for a while. I put in new tanks and fuel lines new fan and mount. She will be ready in a couple more hours of work.

I just happen to see this thread on the good old Glow Ducted Fan's, and found it interesting. Not sure anybody on here know's me. I own SouthEast Model Products, in Orlando, Fl. I used to produce the AeroJet-25/ RK-20, and the AeroJet-46 ducted fan units, along with the F-4 Phantom, and F-15 kits for the fans. I been flying ducted fans since the late 1960's with the Scozzi fans, those later became the Turbax. I have sold most of my ducted fan stuff, but I still have K&B 3.5, 7.5 and a .28 ( only one ever made), OS-46 VRDF, sold all my OS 91's, Rossi 81, OPS, K&B 7.5's, to basically go EDF's. I still make 5 different sizes, using Dynamax rotor blades, and stator vanes. The AeroJet-46 were made using Dynamax parts. The rotor had 10 blades, instead of 11, and was cut down to 4". I used that capability to make the 5, EDF units. If anybody is interested in making a 4" DF I still have parts, but you have to assemble it yourself. Of course you will need the engines, K&B 7.5 or OS-46. I have no more parts for the AeroJet-25's or OS-25 VFDF's.

I have an opportunity to purchase a Rossi 91, with a Dynamax fan unit, and tuned Pipe for $150..
engine looks to be brand new and un started.. I am thinking that this is a pretty good deal, what do you folks think?

I agree, Rossi were always temperamental and a bit unpredictable, however those who mastered them had a tremendous power unit. I have a Rossi 65 and it put years on me. Ron.

Hey FMRR, check your pms about your StarFire & motor & all accessories to go with it.

Hi_70 Ragtop, I was just searching for Dynamax fan units when i was led back to RC Universe and saw your old post about having them. If you still happen to have them
how much would you want for the fan Units only. As I am looking for one or two for future Duck Fan Jet projects. Sure I'd love to have a Turbine powered jet but the thought
of an 8 to 10 thousand Dollar Model airplane crashing into the ground just makes me totally nauseous at his time. Mabe once I become a Muti Millionaire my feelings will
change.

Thanks, Eric

You'd be surprised if you look enough on the used market how many turn key turbine jets you can find for $2000 or less. Compared to ducted fans they are hassle free. That said I do still have a ducted fan!

There's just something that's nostalgic about it. The sound, the smell I just bought a KBV 82 Viofan setup for my vintage unstarted BVM Viper kit!
When time permits, I still break out the Byro Blaster Enforcers. One has an OS .77 the other a .91. Ya know...I have NEVER had a problem with those engines and I fly the hell out of them lol
