Kingtech Turbo Prop Engine
Just picked up my new Kingtech turboprop engine. This is my first Kingtech product, and my first turboprop engine. So , I am really looking forward to completing my PC-21, installing this powerplant, and having some fun. Anyone know where I might buy a 24x20, or 24x22 three blade propeller for this little puppy?
By the way for those interested, I purchased my turboprop engine from Danielle's RC in Nashville, TN. It's really nice to have a local dealer who offers a REALLY good price on turbine engines.

I would talk to Gerhard at aircraft international. He will have the dedicated turbo prop propeller that biela makes. It is rated for higher rpm. 24x12 or 14 seems like it would be the prop as that is what is used on the spt5. Similar 60 size turbine on that one. 22 is quite a lot of pitch.

Gerhard has some 24/10 and 24/12 4 blade props that Biela made custom for me when I was flying the SPT-10. I believe he has one or so of each left as well as 24/14 3 blade props.
Also, if he only has standard props, those will be fine. The standard prop is rated to 8,000 RPM and the Turbo 10,000 RPM. You probably will not be close to 8,000 RPM inflight so you will be fine.

Sorry to be a little slow at updating info on our Turboprop, Boli, our TP is designed to be running at a much higher load but much lower RPM. The ideal prop would be turning at 5000 static and unload only up to 7000RPM. This would ensure max output and longevity of engine. Please use no smaller than 24x16x3b, as it would provide 5500/7500RPM, while a 24x20x3b would achieve the sweet spot of 5000/7000RPM. Anyone has suggestions on people to contact for prop making, please let me know, as we like to develop something like a 22x22x3b and 21x21x5b. Thanks in advance!

Engine installed and maiden complete! I initially had a 25 x 12 / 3-blade (and set to 5000 RPM because that's all I had at the time) which I did the maiden with; and although those that saw the flight though it did well, I felt it was underpowered and since I had reduced the max engine RPM from 160 to 140K to achieve the 5000 prop RPM, I knew I had room for more prop and power. I have since obtained a 25 x 17 / 3B, but have not had a chance to try it. I'm excited to give the new prop flown as I think the performance will be much better, but I think it will have to wait until I return again from work.
Please post your flight experience and prop set-ups.

Hey George,
Thanks for posting your flight experience with the k60 tp. I am still trying to find a source for the size prop I need for my PC-21 (24×20 and 24x22 three blade, or a 22x22 five blade). Hope to hear from Gerhard at Aircraft International that Beila Propellers can produce what is needed.
George, where did you get that 25x17 three-blade prop? Maybe this company/vendor can provide props in the size/pitch needed for my plane.

I got the prop from Vogelsang Aeroscale. It's an SEP 25/17/3. They do offer an 24/18/3, but it was not in stock, so I took the closest they had. The funny thing is, they don't even the 25/17/3 in SEP section, so they may have others that aren't listed as well.
