That turbine looks great. How it comoRes to the SPT-5 in terms of power ?
I have 2 x SPT-5 in CARF airplanes. One moves with authority a Marchetti and the other one is only OK for the Tucano. The Tucano is an older model and a heavier one so it would benefit of more power. I've been thinking on a SPT-10 but this new Kingtech looks like a good alternative.
any my reports on performance in the future would be appreciated.

For anyone interested, just ordered the SEP 24x22 three-blade propeller from Vogelsang RC today. The prop was $140 +an additional $49 for shipping cost to Nashville, Tenn. This may be a good option for those of you still looking for a suitable propeller for your Kingtech 60 turbo prop engine. By the way, Vogelsang also provide me quote for a custom made five-blade propeller ( Ouch! )

Yep, Got mine last Sat., but I'm right in the middle of a kitchen remodel and haven't had much time for anything else. I barely had a minute to open the box and take a peak, what a BEAUTY!!

Hi David & George they look great the props they are throwing are excellent I have Wren turbo props they will throw those blades but won't get the RPM.
I will be looking very closely to see if you have any problems with them KingTech are an excellent turbine there after sales service over here is excellent.

I ran my K-60tp spinning the Fiala 24x17 three-blade prop yesterday. At roughly 75% throttle (147000 rpms shown on the ecu data terminal), the prop was spinning at roughly 5100 rpms. Though the max rpms for the Kingtech K-60tp is 160000, I think I will need to set the max rpms for the engine at 147000 to keep the prop at roughly 5000 rpms on the ground. This seems to be a powerful little engine and should spin a 24x20 three-blade prop easily. Looking forward to seeing how well and how fast it will fly my plane.

I finally got some more flights with SEP 24/17/3 today, and am convinced this is just about the perfect prop for my aircraft. We also got a chance to tach it as well, and had 1260-1280 at idle and around 4860 at full throttle. That is just below the recommended 5000 RPM, but it gives great vertical performance with just the right amount of speed with zero "prop noise". I do have the stock prop that came with the kit which is a 27/14/3; and I may try the 27 if anything ever happens to this one, but I think I'm done looking for a prop at this point.

Hey George,
Did you dial down the rpm on your engine. I have run a Fiala 24x17 three blade prop. With the engine at 147000 rpm (roughtly 3/4 throttle) my prop reached 5100 rpm . I may be wrong, but I believe at full engine rpm (160000), the prop will be well above 5500 rpm.
I placed an order for a SEP 24x22 three-blade prop through Vogelsang RC June 25. Should receive that prop by mid August. Will let you know how it works out.

Mike,
From the information I have gotten from the folks at Kingtech, if the prop tach at 5000 rpms on the ground, it should unload to 7000 rpms in the air. The recommended prop to hit the sweet spot on the ground is a 24x20 three-blade. Maybe Barry can provide more information to better answer your question.
