Little shout out to Carlos at CMJets..

I received his tank when I was home on vacation, and it's absolutely gorgeous, and fits perfectly in the fuse. Can't wait to get home in December and actually complete the assembly of this little gem.

My friends and I have ordered a number of Grumania pipes. As far as I know they are only direct in the US. Yes, the shipping stinks.

Is it imperative to use the wood conversion kit that Sebart sells to install the K 45? Initially when I bought the mini Avanti I also bought the EDF unit. Later I decided to go for the turbine install for many reasons, the least was the flight time which would be at least double compared to EDF, in addition to the additional power etc....

Thanks for your feedback
Regards,

The Sebart conversion kit includes some wood parts to mount the turbine and pipe, the pipe itself and a fuel tank.

Even with a P-20 the Sebart tank is too small and I assume the pipe is too small for the K45. The wood parts won't fit the K45 or a different pipe.

It's quite good and cost effective for P-20 or Kolibri install but pretty much useless for the K45.

Thanks for your feedback. does this mean that no wooden parts are needed for the K45? Negatively thanks shedding some lights on the eventual pieces needed

Here are a couple of pictures of the turbine conversion kit and the P20 installation. Unless you are talking about something that I am unaware of there is no 'wood' kit.

The only pieces of wood in the conversion kit are the 2 rings, that are part of the pipe installation, and 4 pieces that make a 'bridge' to fit the narrower P20 onto the airframe mounting rails.

if you install a K45 with a Grumania pipe, you will not need any wooden bits.

For fuel tank go with the CMJets tanks. I am using the earlier 1,7L which gives great flight time. Better option is maybe the 1,3L variant which does not require any cutting

From the manual

Stage 2 • Switch Over – (up to 200 to 300 C) This is the stage that the main fuel also opens and a slight yellow to bluish flame is expected, while starter motor drives the rotor even faster in preparation for fuel ramp.

Hello,

does already anybody use the 1,3l cmjets tank?
Which hopper tank do you recommend?

Does anybody know which flight times are possible with the K45G?

I use the 1,3l cmjets tank and get 7min flight time. Don't see the need for a bigger tank. If you fly from grass I don't recommend the bigger tank.

Do Agree on this, i never fill mine up completely cause of the weight and flying from grass.
Got my timer at 5 min and alway's switch the engine off at about 7 min. still plenty off fuel left for at least 1 more go around.

Best choice ever for this bird, but go for the 1.3L

Were are you located? Have 2 on stock here ;-)
Instead of the CAT 80 you can also use the Intairco mini air trap.

Best regards,
Berto.

I'm still waiting on my Tamjets pipe for my Mini Avanti. Not sure what to do. Should I keep waiting or contact paypal to see if I can get a refund? I know he's tied up but I just can't get an answer from Tamjets? Does anyone know how to get ahold of him? Is he still in business? Order placed on August 7th.
