I'm just happy to be able to actually get a mini Avanti so as long as it isn't significantly more expensive I'll be happy.

From what I understand, JRA doesn't order them unless there are backorders in the system. BUT.. I've heard a rumor there may be a solution coming soon.. If true, you'll have no problems getting Sebart airplanes in the future in the USA.

Except 2m F3A planes. They are too big/expensive to ship. JRA may revisit the situation in the future.
It was surprising when I tried to order a Prometheus 2m biplane direct from Seba. He said I need to purchase it from JRA. I informed him of what JRA told me ... I'll stop there.
It's a shame. When Jason M was Sebart RC USA, getting 2m Sebart planes was never an issue.

Yup. I like to keep the list of those that have my CC number as short as possible so I always use PayPal for this kind of stuff.

It would seem the only way the situation would improve is if JR Americas is no longer the SebArt distributor for the US. They certainly seem to be in a downward spiral where they have limited sales / profits so they reduce inventory and as a result get fewer orders because noting is in stock. The process repeats until nothing's left. Hope I'm wrong about that but that's how it looks from the outside..

Any retailers where I can order both the CMJets tank and a Grumania pipe for the Mini Avanti? I can't read Spanish so I don't feel comfortable ordering from the CMJets site and so far my direct emails haven't been answered. The bottom line is that shipping of each item is quite expensive and if I could get them both shipped together it would be a significant savings ? Any suggestions ?

Bob,
Thanks for the reply. I had found the pipe on the Grurmania site but it's 52 euro shipping. I suspect the shipping for the CMJets tank will be significant as well. I was hoping to find a single source that could supply both the tank and the pipe which should significantly reduce the shipping cost. I know it seems like a long shot but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask..

Default Help with thrust tube

Hey guys,

I am starting to assemble my first turbine.

My question is I purchased a stainless thrust tube from Tamjets who seem to have gone out of business and I do not know how to support the tube.

The front of the tube has brackets and that is okay but the back of the tube floats around in the fuselage . The end of the tube is considerably smaller than the hole at the end of the fuselage.

The aircraft is a Sebart Mini Avanti and the turbine is a Kingtech K-45

The Sebart conversion kit has a ply ring to support the rear of the pipe. You can either make your own ply ring or make some blocks to hold the pipe in the centre of the opening at the back of the fuselage.

@ Jet-Lover,

are you sure the TAM jets pipe is suitable for the K45?
If it is supposed to fit the P20 it will be to narrow for the K45 and I would then suggest to order the Grumania pipe.

Best regards,
Berto.

You have me worried now!
When I ordered it, I told Tam I was using a K 45.
Would you know what the diameter is of the Grumania pipe?

If you ordered at Tamjets a K45 version then it should be the right one, only a little smaller then the Grumania version.

The outside diameter of the Grumania pipe for the K45 powered Mini Avanti S is 70mm (inner about 65mm).
Whit this pipe installed the carbon rod of the stabilizer just press on the pipe and keep it in place.

Grt,
Berto.
