Try swapping the 2 gear door servo wires on the sequencer.

Default Mini Avanti with K45

Where should the CG be for the mini avanti with a kingtech 45? Should the CG be performed with full fuel? I installed the engine as far forward on the rails that I could and using a CM jets 1.3L tank.

i balanced mine at the factory cg of 145 with both the header and the main tank empty.
I have the engine moved back and the rear edge of the main tank at the cg mark
i will move back another 5-10 mm after a few more flights. Remember the the factory cg
is conservative.

I flew my mini avanti last weekend. The CG at 145mm. Flew like its on rails. Very nice airplane and with a gyro has a large airplane feel to it.

Test Flew mine yesterday in a 30 km/h wind straight down the runway, two flights so far. Powered by K-45G2, balanced at 145mm, the aircraft tracked well despite windy conditions. Most flight at 1/2 throttle, full throttle only on take off. Its great aircraft and is plenty fast at 1/2 throttle for my style of flying!

Mine has the fuel tank sitting almost on the CG so I don't feel much change.

I have a tam pipe. How far back were you able to mount the turbine to get the tank over the CG? Any photos?

I placed an order for a Tam pipe on August 7 2017. Have not heard anything from Tam. I have left messages. Anyone know what is going on with Tam Jets?

He posted on Facebook that he's out of material for pipes and it's going to be a while.

To all my hobby customers and friends. Last few months I been out of metals to making pipe. Even till now I won't expect to get my metals order sometime in mid September. Also big spike on cost too.
RC Jets business is been very tough for me in the last few years. Cost of materials and machine shop is too high. Most of my
products now is very little profit left to continue of making.
The pipes I still continue doing business when I get my metals. Some of the pipe
use more material there will be price increases.

Since last few months I had no income from pipes business. I was desperate seeking for work.
I did found a job and been busy working use my special skills I have over 30 years.
Now I'm officially a handyman. Anything I can fix. For the hours I work is 2-3 time more income than hobby business.
Therefore I no longer be able to put my 100% energy to hobby business. I only can do part time. Please understand for any delaying.

Thanks all for the business support

I maidened my Avanti at the weekend, flies very well on a Wren 44 with Grummania pipe, are there any retract upgrades on the units themselves? I think I must have V1 as the mounts are plastic and I don't think they will take much abuse! I will get ramjet struts next

Here are pictures of my installation, no heating issue. Mine weighs 4.36kg with 1" of fuel in the tank, would be approx 5kg with fully fuelled. The airplane is a joy to fly!!

Does anyone in the US sell the Grumania pipe or do I have to buy it from overseas?

Anyone have a source for the M5 gear pins? I know McMaster has them in bulk but no flats, i can go that route if I have to for the mains but the nose wheel is going to be a pain to make.
