Hello,

how did you set up the center of gravity?
With full hopper and empty main tank?

Thanks

Jet 1A strut installation

Received the 5.02mm reamer today from MSC Industrial. I chucked the reamer into a tap handle and very slowly rearmed the upper strut opening to a point just past the set screw hole. The upper strut section is about 10mm shorter than the Tam units, so I cut a spacer from styrene tubing. I stared at 10mm but made a second set of spacers 8mm long. I set the model on its gear t see how level the wing sat to the flat surface and decided the 8mm spacers put the model in the correct stance. The angle of the strut set moves the wheel about 2mm rearward, I found I needed to slightly enlarge the rear edge of the wheel well. I hope this helps. Jet 1a struts

Hello,

how do I go exactly with the installation of the Grumania thrust tube before there was no guidance?
The funnel must I screw in the model but how is this attached then and what are the rivets?
How do I align vertically?

Thanks
Markus

Here are a few photos of the installation. Glue the nuts on the pipe and assemble it in the aircraft.

Hello,

what do you think about this pump?
RCEXL-the-Smallest-Smoke-Pump-Gasoline-Pump-Smoking-Pump-with-Adjustable-Flow-for-RC-Airplane

I cannot post the link because of too few posts, please google for it.
The weight is more important than the price.

Thanks

Thank you for your answer.
Do you know the max. flow rate at 6V and do you think that it is suitable for the Mini Avanti?

So where can one get a mini Avanti in the US these days ? I've been checking the JR Americas website off and on for a long time and I've never seen it show the mini Avanti as anything but back ordered. I'd love to get one if I could figure out where to get it from without having to spend a fortune to have it shipped half way around the world.

FWIW, I spoke to Chris at JRAmericas a while back about this plane (yellow/black scheme) and about the 2m Prometheus) pattern planes from Sebart)
He said the next container should arrive Jan/Feb. He said by placing a back order item in your cart, it should make it onto the next order; no need to pay in advance.
Unfortunately he said they are not importing Sebart 2m planes any longer due to size??

Take it for what it's worth, it JRAmericas after all ...

IMHO, overseas shipping isn't that bad. Lindinger has very reasonable shipping charges (Ive ordered from them in the past, no issues). You can also order directly from Sebart.it on his online shopping page.

Hi Lewis,
Actually I already ordered one from Lindinger and it turns out that even with shipping it's $25 less than what JR Americas has on it's website. I've been wanting one of these for a while now so I guess it's finally happening.

Had the Super Viper foamy jet out at SSRCC last weekend and it's flying really well. I'm finding I like the easy transport of these smaller jets. I still like the 140 sized stuff too but it's so much easier to just put something this size in the back of the car and still bring a 60cc aerobatics plane to the field as well.

If you decide to get one too maybe we can save some shipping by ordering a couple of tail pipes and fuel tanks at the same time :^)

Timing is everything
I just ordered a PC-21 from JMB Jets in Luxembourg
Went with Electron retracts and brakes. About 13kg take off weight with K45TP
3m long (2 piece fuse) and based on YT videos it can land at a speed of my 2m planes; should be perfect fir SSRCC

I never ordered the Mini out of concerns over the stock struts/retracts on grass with a K45
I also wanted to avoid the drama surrounding Tamjets fir struts
I was waiting for the ER30 retracts and struts from Electron for the Mini; or maybe the Jet A1 struts with stock retracts

What color did you get?
Grumania pike and CMJets tank?
Aura 8 or Jeti Assist?

Im sure you'll have it built in no time
I tried moving my CARF Tutor around the shop ... and ripped a suture
So maybe I should think of smaller jets or just stick to 2m stuff

I'm going to probably take my time with the Mini Avanti but it still shouldn't take long once I round up all the stuff. I'm planning on the Grumania pipe and CMJets tank. I hadn't heard about the Electron ER30 retracts but based on the outstanding service I recently received from them on the ER40s in my 2M Avanti Electron would be my first choice if they will be available in time. I'll definitely check with Electron before ordering anything but it seems that the JetA1 units are excellent as well from what I've heard so far.

I look forward to seeing the PC21 when you get it as I really like turbo props. Hope you manage to get out flying a bit more often next year. Who knows, there still may be a nice day or 2 left this year if you feel up to it..
