If you ordered at Tamjets a K45 version then it should be the right one, only a little smaller then the Grumania version.
The outside diameter of the Grumania pipe for the K45 powered Mini Avanti S is 70mm (inner about 65mm).
Whit this pipe installed the carbon rod of the stabilizer just press on the pipe and keep it in place.
Grt,
Berto.

In in the Kingtech manual it shows 20-30mm for most of the other turbines but not the k45?

My Mini Avanti with K70G is ready for the maiden.
Waiting for better weather condition in frozen Austria.
I moved the tank backwards as far as possible to avoid that it is too nose-heavy with full tank.
The weight is almost the same as with the previous Mini Avanti with electric 8s setup and lies with full hopper tank and empty main tank at about 4370g.

Today the maiden flight with the K70G took place.
I am glad to have installed the K70G because the performance when starting or going around is by no means a disadvantage.
It was a bit noise heavy with a full tank but that was to be expected.
The performance is great even if I was a little more cautious on the first flight.

Hi Guys,
I have now started the build on my Mini Avanti which will have the K45 fitted. Need some advice on the following:
A) Tail pipe: I have a spare HSD Super Viper tail pipe available, i trial fitted it and it looks just perfect as the rear former holds the pipe exactly in position. except for a couple of issues: pipe seem a little long and protrudes outside fuselage by 5 to 6 cm would this be a problem? on the other hand the outside pipe is pulling against the CF Stab rod, Would this be a problem?
B) Still not sure about which Fuel tank to use as i would have to remove (cut out) the the inlet liners as no decent fuel tank would fit in this narrow space and moving fuel tank forward is out of the question for sure.
Any help/feedback on the above would be much appreciated.
Regards,

Hi guys,
I am sure it is mentioned amongst all the preceeding posts, but I wish to check the best cg for this jet. So if you guys don't mind repeating the information I will appreciate the input. Perhaps your various control throws could also be mentioned.
Thank you,
JanR

If it fits, i could not see why not, just trail and error i suppose ....
Made another 6 flights with the Mini.
I completely lost count but my K45 tell's already more then 10hrs on the clock and it went in this bird from new out he box.
So still going strong, and still lots of fun to fly!!
Must say, cause she took some beating in all sorts, she doesn't look that "sharp" any more......
I have an brand new one laying on he shelf, completely build up, as a spare, only no turbine
I'm considering putting a K70 in there but i wonder, will the airframe handle the load/push of an K70????
Although mine had a really hard time, multiple from way up there full nose down full throttle dive's etc. she's still hanging in there but she starts to show wear, tear and slop on almost every thing......
It would be the next step in fun with a K70 in there but, if the whole airframe at an certain point just explodes up there cause i took it just a step to far.....
What's you guy's thought's on this?
Cheers,
Ed
