EuroSport pitch authority
Hi All,
I will be building my C-ARF EuroSport next month.
Just wondering which has the greater authority on pitch change: canards or elevons ?
I have an iGyro3e, and thinking about how to connect and configure it.
Is it worth gyro stabilising the canards only for pitch, and elevons for only roll ?
Wing will be configured for delta, so elevons will have elevator input mixed in too.
I might setup some flight modes for the canards:
off/neutral
preset up pitch to aid take off rotation
normal elevator function
Not sure what's sensible as I've seen these things fly ok with no canards plugged in !
Power will be Merlin 200XBL with stock straight pipe
Thanks,
J.

My Feedback: (9)
I have my canards setup on a flight mode switch. !st setting they act like shown in the manual then the other 2 settings add about 10 and 20mm of up as the neutral point. The 10mm setting works perfect for landing to give the proper nose up attitude without having to use elevator on landing. The 20mm setting is great for slow flight, really gets the nose up without having to add elevator. I have a jr axis gyro but have not installed it yet, so cant help on that.

It'll be fine, I was going to install my K180 in this jet. But I sold it and am about to take delivery of the 200. I think the 200 will use less fuel, and of course fly with low throttle most of the time, so fuel burn should be quite low.
