Not after my hawk had its tail fall off in the air after less than 6 hours fly time. Then have FEJ tell me thats a high time airframe. I will never buy from FEJ ever again.. your customer service is crap. You dont deliver all the kit at once. Your kits are built to fail.
My FEJ A10 broke its balsa laminated wing spar first filght..gear fell out if the wing....
unless FEJ replaces all failed airframes then no one will ever purchase from you ever again.

I was only talking to a fella yesterday who has a FEJ F-14 and is carrying out major modificaions on it so it doesn't fall apart on him.. He to had an A-10 which he through away as it was never going to be airworthy the way it was constructed..

Has FEJ actually changed its building techniques or is it just a sales ploy??

FEJ, why are you using plywood formers now? Was there something wrong with the honeycomb formers in my FEJ F-14?

Haters are going to hate.

Here is some video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soMMUsism-8 FEJ looks like you are starting to at least listen to the issues people have been saying, some will say too late, but I think if you can get a US rep invovled, start making quality airframes that don't crash you could have a turn around. Perhaps offer people that lost air frames a significant discount to start mending.

As for replacement airframes, obviously that wont' happen. Looks like something was wrong is skymaster F-14 as well that went down also and at nearly 2x the price of the FEJ so any mfg can have issues.

Lets see what happens, but for now, you have a lot of work to do, and mostly its support related.

FEJ I don't think advertising your new products here will get you much if any good publicity. The only way you will do that is to improve and demonstrate that you have greatly improved your building methods and also done right by the people who have been let down by you in the past

To hate you need to be in a position of envy. Who in their right mind would envy Ken or FEJ? You shoud check the facts on the SM F-14 before assuming it was a manufacturer defect.

Discoturd the SM F14 went down due to a building error not a manufacturing defect.

Looks like I can wear my shame on you FEJ shirt again

Keep up with the name calling, guaranteed your post will get removed. building error, yeah ok a TOP GUN competetor and building error, I don't think so, more like "Hey if you keep quite about it, we'll send you a replacement f-14 and half cost" Now when FEJ was doing the same thing every one was attacking. Hypocrits.

Wow. I know there is a lot of hate of FEJ on this site, but I have to say.

I own a FEJ F16 1/7th.

The FEJ is honeycomb, with ply formers. I did cut holes in the FEJ and saw improvements of ply added after all the older post of bad elevator stabs

But what I wanted to say I love the the firmness of the airax skin materal, when I pick this f16 up it feels soilder and doesn't coke can like my skymasters, or Carf Jets.

If you guys could fix your customers services and help those who have been screwed in the past then maybe your future will be brighter, but for now your name is so bad that I paid exactly $0 for your F16 as the owner didn't think it was worth the loss of all his equipment to fly your jet. Now that is bad

Discowings,
Why don't you become the US rep? Your excellent communication skills and extensive background in the hobby could be put to good use. Quit wasting all your valuable talent.
Instead of vocalizing all your expertise you could show us how its done!
A few months with you at the helm, theres no telling where FEJ to rise to!
Squirt some foam here! Squirt some foam there! Boom!! New company! You could even make them lower the prices even more!!
Maybe you could open up a FEJ warehouse in the US and keep some popular kits in stock so the delivery times wont be long?
Do it buddy!

I was under the impression ALL FEJ jets had been banned from events, unless they were proven to be airworthy? If so why did the this jet fly and do its maiden flight during operation hours of the event?

+1 Airframes can and do fail sometimes. But the customer interaction (support/service) track record demonstrated by this company will prevent me from ever wanting to bring my business to them. To me it's not worth the risk. It's good for a company to have a good product, but another if by chance I have to deal with them because of some issue(s). We've read threads about FEJ failures and dialog with FEJ and representatives in regards to such failures. The replies from FEJ and reps, dealing with them is like what would be expected from having dialog with a pack of angry little girls. I'm not interested in such dialog no matter what. I'm not interested in the risk, could get a good deliverable, but the risk of dealing with them if the deliverable is defective is not worth it.

I would prefer to see pictures of the stabs prior to joining both halves so we can see how or if anything has changed in the assembly. Then the same for the wings etc. Lets show everyone what you are actually building. Anyone can make a shiny painted aircraft. Its details that make or break any airframe.

I think I will have to with all the snake oil you have been selling. Those fires need to be put out.

Hi

After all experiences with FEJ, I would expect a diferent a approach regarding introducing new models or new versions. Instead of posting a nice plane with a nice paint job flying, I would expect a detailed information regarding new construction techniques and detailed pics of the building steps.

The current approach and this thread, simple tells me this: Nothing as changed

Unfortunatly for the hobby and for me personaly with one option less

If FEJ's history and reputation doesn't guarantee its doom, then having Disco's endorsement and significant knowledge/experience resource surely will. Thankfully.
