Is your trailer dual or single axle?

A single will turn in it's own length, drive it in forward, unhitch & then wheel it where you want it to live.

Back in to drag it out next day. Dual axle, you're stuck. Time for a new trailer?

John.

Here is my vehicle and my recent trip to the field last weekend.
I always put my fuel, Kero or Jet A in the big Rubbermaid container, it hold two 5 gallon jugs plus oil.

Cheers,
Ron

Holy ****, you got all that in a suv? wow.

turntable is $12K installed. This is the sit on the driveway type, not the built into the driveway, those are $40-50K.

Paul, how can I trade you the trailer and get the sea fury back home?? ;-)

thats what your Range Rover is for. If G4guy can get all that stuff in his SUV then surely one airplane can fit in yours. ?

Hey Mike, looks like a great new shop area but can't get to it. As for turning single axle trailers in place and I'm not sure where you'd look for one, but when I was a kid I worked for a boat dealer and we had a little moving gadget that looked sort of like a check mark if seen from the side. At the bottom of the V it had an axle and two wheels. On top the short side of the V was a trailer ball and on top of the long side a crossbar with grips. You'd just put the ball under the trailer hitch, put your foot on the axle and pull down elevating the trailer and then you can spin the thing right in place if you want or maneuver it most anywhere it'll fit.

I'm with iflyrcjets I once had the previlidge of owning such a drive way. Hitch to the front and pushed a 24 foot boat up the hill, it works. Like he says, super easy. But you may be ready for a change, and enclosed van is nice option too.

The picture he posted with the Range Rover makes it look like there is plenty of room to the left to maneuver if he pulled the trailer up the driveway. Maybe that picture is deceiving.

Mike, If you haven't already purchased your Sprinter, think about getting a double sliding door while you are at it, it's only a $800+ option and two months wait, or the precious space behind the driver will be under utilized. If I were to reconfigure another cargo van for the jets, I would eliminate all flooring, not even rubber mat, for easy clean up and least smell. Right now, the layer underneath the rubber mat in my Express van is soaked, and can't get rid of it until I strip it down bare.

Beautiful house, congrats!

Barry

Some great advice, thanks guys. As of now, finding a used sprinter is challenging. Love to keep it under 30K, not sure that will happen.

Barry, I need to have one row of seats for kiddos. My plan is to make a rack like in my trailer that will go past the tops of the back seats and put planes on top.

I have an expedition too with the same trailer hitch cargo carrier. With all the seats folded down its a flat deck and you fit plenty in there.

We used to have a guy in our club that had one of those...............When any one crashed at an event, he would drive out on the field with sirens blaring to pick up the carnage............LOL
Oh,come to think about it, I think it was an Ambulance..........LOL

To avoid the smell of either fuel in my vehicle if not pulling the trailer, I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a Cargo Carrier that fits in the trailer hitch. I can put the jet fuel can and normal gas can on the carrier and protect them both with a cover while traveling to any flying field. Perfect. Find their sale or 20% coupons and go for it. You can also order online. Chic
