I talked with Tim about an hour ago he has been traveling for work alot. He's looking forward to seeing the usual suspects and some new faces too! I spoke with the horizon guys and they will be there. Tim said Jim and Ann will be there early next week along with Dan and Coleen. Jets over the Heartland is one meet you don't want to miss.

Can you guys tell me, do you fly facing east or west at this location? (or I guess it could be north or south or a combination thereof).

I guess I am asking if the sun will set at our backs as it get later.

Yes the sun sets over your right shoulder. You face South East when standing on the flight line. It's always a great time at the MAC!

Sorry Guys, I've been away working my tail off and I'm still looking forward to the event. I've been working in both Cleveland and Cincinnati Ohio. Thanks Greg Wright for helping out here and Bob and Terry too. It was pretty slow for me work wise from Thanksgiving till about the beginning of April and Now its non-stop crazy.

Anyone that wishes to rent a tent can contact me as for as price and size at 219 688 3984. The tent rentals are between you and the tent company which worked fine last year, 20x20, 20x40, 40x40 are the sizes. I will give you the contact number and you can pay them directly. So far there is two 20x40's and a 40x40. The 20x40's are for John Stotz and Doug Boyle and the princess. I think Ted is in there too. Mine is the 40x40. Get together with your buddies and split one up. Its great way to not have to hassle with a pop up and is pretty cheap when you get a few guys to chip in.

I'm still in Ohio and am planning to be home by late Tuesday night in the worst case. Sunday or Monday is my plan. Get ready for a low key great time where theres always a few surprises around the corner. This event has been going on for over 20 some years now. (I know this because Taylor has grown up at them) I have made a lot of good friends here over the years and I look forward to seeing all of you and making some new friends too. But I'm sure you all will agree work comes first. the best part is this meet is not about the who's who of jet modeling but the camaraderie and friendships that grow from it. If you've never been here before you WILL have fun. You WILL get to fly. You WILL get help if you need it and you WILL meet some of the best Jet Guys that there is.

Thanks and see ya soon!
Tim

Sorry to be a pain, the link doesn't work for me. I did find an older sight:
http://site.pwrtc.com/~marvin/ but not sure if it is still valid.

I just want to make sure I get the right information and directions. I get lost very easily.

Thanks.

If your search engine is like mine, it takes you to a looooong list of stuff. Winamac Aero modelers site is about 1/2 way down the page. the info is still good and the Facebook page is listed there too. Also good map on both.
Good luck and see ya there.
