R-66 is especially reasonable having a $45.00 preregistration that includes free camper, motor home & trailer parking: free jet A fuel; free Friday & Saturday evening hot meat entrées with trimmings at the field; free event t-shirt; no tent, table or chair rentals; also free prize drawings & a free closed 4,003 X 75 ft runway for 4 days from sunup till sundown.

Anyway may good flying be with you & yours where ever you my decide to light-em up......CHEERS, Roger

Great job Rt. 66 guy's! Swell time as usual. Watch out for the Broken Arrow group if your partying ability is weak! Had a great time Jason and Ken in front of the fireplace.

Looking thru the northern side ,actually this one was the best jet meet off 2015 summer, all off the other jet meets was little on the wet or windy side just "Mother Nature" this jet meet will always be on my must to go list all best friends new and old + the super low traffic on the flight line all of as good and new pilots are able to fly stress free with all the help from more expiriance pilots ,the hotel so close practically no time waisted for driving to the flying field ,this year the airport chef offer to as free 200 gallons of jet A fuel ,yes for free with the ride to the pump and back to the flight line big thanks this was something special ,I'm only little disappointed at my self to not fly my T-33 will do the next time ,thanks to all for super time you guys are the best wish more jet pilots will visit this jet meet to expiriance this special place where all jet model pilots are welcome .

Well said Sebastian. Best meet of the year for us Okies as well.

And If you are going to hang with the retired airline pilots association around the fireplace, you better practice up on your partying skills.

"RT 66 Jets, 2015" Trophies

Thanks to Ron & Sharon Colbert for selecting this year's beautiful "laser blue" trophy design.
The picture doesn't due justice to the blue glow they give off up close.

Paul Applebaum deservedly received the "Special Recognition" trophy for his scratch built C-17. Plugs, molds, prototype plane. Two years work in progress so far. It's a flying work of art and skill, with much more detailing to come. It's in the LMTA class, and has all the proper inspection documentation in order. Paul flew the plane repeatedly, and with authority, numerous times over the weekend. We look forward to it's further refinements at future events.

Thank you to Lewis Patton for his beautifully soulful renditions of "Taps" on Friday, 9/11, and the "Star-Spangled Banner" on Saturday.

Smart pilots use PowerBox gyros so they can fly jets with tiny wings in the 30 mph gusty winds!
