Fall Jet Classic October 9-11, 2015 Louisville, KY
Join us at the Incredible Ohio River View RC Flyers Club, and enjoy the fall weather, flying at one of the top jet facilities in the country! Located 20 minutes west of Louisville, KY. Be sure to register early and select your pit space during registration.
The site features an 800' x 50', smooth paved runway and zero obstructions, paved taxiways, and a parallel manicured grass runway. Four large covered shelters with electric power. Plenty of room for pop-ups. A large paved parking lot designed to handle your trailer and a paved driveway so you you don't have to rough getting in and out of the facility.

We are working on a group rate at the Best Western. The Nashville gang is onboard as is the Cincinnati Jet Club. The Louisville gang plans to be there. Billy D and Jim H should be there with some other Ohio Jet Jocks. I spoke with the Horizon pilots and they seemed pretty interested in attending too. Roger Shipley committed to the event, how about you?

From the center of the runway to the tree line at the river it is 2000 feet, The field elevation in front of the runway 9 feet lower than the runway and planted is soy bean this year. Even when it is planted in corn you can fly at waist level and still not worry about hitting anything. We have a gator onsite should you need to recover an aircraft far out in the field.

Photos of the Site
If your not familiar with River View field the attached photos will help give you a better idea of just how open the flying area is. Also the large covered shelters with tables. You will also notice the taxiways come within a few feet of the shelters too. Be sure to preregister early and reserve a covered pit space, but limited to 14 spaces, it's free! We do plan to have a overnight storage tent, we are asking the pilots for a $10.00 donation to help cover the cost. Make plans now to join us October 9-11th.

Event Update
Based on pilot demand we will be renting a 30 x 30 tent for overnight storage. We are asking for a $10.00 donation if you plan to use the tent.
There are presently 15 registered for the event and after attending Illini Jets this past weekend. I expect another 5-10 pilots from those in attendance.
Help us keep you in the loop, by preregistering at: http://www.rcflightdeck.com/event_de...?event_id=4701
It's quick and easy and once you register on the site once all it takes is your email and password to register for any RCFlightDeck listed event.
Thanks,
Bob

Hotel Information - Room Block Closes September 30th
I want to remind everybody to please make your hotel reservation soon, if you have not done so already.
The group rate of $85.00/ night is only good until SEPTEMBER 30th at the Best Western, 812-945-2771 under the event name "Fall Jet Classic".
There is a big event across the river in Louisville and the normal rate is $155.00/night.
The field is in prime shape condition, and the October forecast looks excellent for flying.
I guarantee you won't be disappointed in the site!
If you have any questions email me: [email protected]
Thanks and see you soon.
