I was hoping sooner so I could have a build project this winter, I'm going stir crazy with nothing to build. As someone who has had to deal with damage from shipping the idea of a safer shipping option is nice. My f-14 was damaged and the time I open the boxes of the projects I have built are dread full. For me the wait till shipping isn't a big deal but the 3-4 days it's being shipped is stressful and then to open the box and see damage on 10k jet is not fun.

I want a twin seat version, and I do like the F model but my favorite is the D model for some reason I like the shape of it and the big speed brake is always fun. This jet is a one that I really hope to fly with the three tanks on it

Thanks Chief Aircraft!

Today I got confirmation that my new 1/5 F-16 Thunderbird scheme was in the container. I have been day dreaming about it for months and now I feel like the kid who just got the new "must have" toy for Christmas.

I talked to Dayna and Brett today to make arrangements to pick it up in person next week. My wife and granddaughter will get a road trip, hotel swimming pool, and eating out, and I get a shiny new toy.

Nothing but professional and prompt customer service from Chief. Will buy from them again.

My two cents worth...

I'm also waiting for the C version of the F-18. Way too many Superhornets cruising around the fields now. Not that I mind as it's a beauty but I've always had a huge spot in my heart for a large scale C.

yes, the F-18E/F will display at Jetpower 2015, the F-18C/D release time should be end of 2015., then the F-18 D/F both versions will demo fly at FL Jets 2016 ,Thank you for your attention!

Not at this time. Jet Legend had an SU-27.

This is why I picked SM back last year, I was sitting in Afghanistan debating on what product to buy and seeing SM start to develop more jets was the key to my decision. I have had a rockier road than most with the oversea companies and was very hesitant, but once I saw the F-18 gear a couple years back and then the for a D model I had no other choice. You just have to be patient is all, and that is going to be the norm with these big jets coming from overseas, it would be nice to have them made here in the states but that will never happen. Cost of living is just to high and no money can be made.

Man Keith you used a sledge hammer and hit that one on the head! I've built many many kits and know how much work it takes to design, build, and R&D one of these kits. From Yellow aircraft to Fiber Classics, its a process that can take months if not years to just assemble. I bet if I had to build that F-14 from scratch with all the guts in the wings and elaborate landing gear system, it would take hundreds of man hours. I still look in there and am amazed these guys do it for what they charge. It is expensive yes, but like I always say "Its all relative". The paint too, I just painted a Yellow F-18 that I built for a customer, easily $3K for just the paint. If that F-14 was designed, developed, built, and painted in the USA, it would exceed $30K easily for the airframe and landing gear fo sho!

Maybe I am biased because of my kit building experience but I am sold on these product because if it weren't for these manufacturers, we'd still be flying smaller more expensive aircraft. Now lets get some hornets buzzing and Hawks Screaming around next year!!! Super stoked!

I have always thought the C model rotates more smoothly on takeoff than any F model I have seen. Having flown both, a big C would be my choice for flight realism, every day of the week.

I wish… just no way with only two months from SJS and lots of other non RC events during that time also.

The target date will be spring or early summer 2016. I plan to do a build thread when I get going. Will take some teaser photos when I get it home next week.

See you at SJS in Georgia.

the length of Mig-29 only 2350mm., but the Su-30 is 3500mm (137 " ) very very big , and the su-30 can not by single turbine, i think the thrust by twin P-160 minimum .,

Twin turbine makes sense at that size! Hope Thrust vector is an option. Will be watching for this one and seeing how it compares to the carf. Thanks!
