Thanks Peter, should have looked on the German language part of the site !. Well over a hundred stands, impressive.
Dave, do you know of any new stuff that will be shown there?

Might do ;-) No good asking as I can't tell. manufacturers want the scoop there, also some of the new stuff might not be released, as it has been shown it better to hold it back and sort it out properly. In this impatient "instant" world some things end up being developed by the customer...and it should not be like that!
Very little of the new stuff being shown will be instantly available, you will already know about most things that will be. CARF's JP special has been running a couple of weeks and have already been ordered for collection at the show, or so people don't miss out by not going, shipped already.

GBRJET update for Jetpower.
The new VIXEN sports jet which is being made by Xtreme ARF will be on stand at Jetpower and is scheduled to fly on each day too following a successful maiden in the UK on Friday flown by Azza Stephens who will also fly her at Jetpower. The VIXEN is a large format 'sports' jet which is a brand new design has some nice features and comes painted out of the mould so no seam lines and to each customers specification. Prices are very competitive for the package so feel free to come by and chat with Wagner or Niki from Xtreme ARF or myself.
The new V2 CAT series will be available too with upgraded finishes and a 'no glue' ABS mounting base. The first 50 CAT's (large and medium formats only) will be supplied with a FREE OF CHARGE chromed custom reducing barb designed to make connection from the CAT to the fuel pump simple and easy.
The MAGLOK range, a magnetic vent system has been improved with a new seal system to give better performance - special Jetpower 'bundles' will be on offer at discounted prices.
Finally the BULLET fuel clunk system has also been upgraded and now incorporates the barb as part of the machined brass base reducing component count and overall length - available for standard and large bore fuel systems.
Looking forward to meeting old faces and friends, so please pop by and say hi.
Safe journey to you all and see you at the weekend.
Marc

Web cams are working.. the halls are changed position from last time and the 2 seem to be side by side which means less walking between and less chance to get muddy! Weather reports do not look too bad.
Looking forward to it, flying to Cologne tomorrow morning.

Too many ugly sports jets following the Hawk inspired Futura! Scale Composites Gnat is truly stunning Carf Su-27 and new F-100 sure there are others. Flying was good but change of tent position and cross wind made the rough JP air even more lumpy.
will post pics when back. Free wifi is slow!

start at page 2, lots of photos including the drive up the hill to the airfield. Nice photos.
I was there Friday and Saturday it was a bit quieter than in the past especially on the Friday. The weather though was good and lots of flying. No Ali and no Mark Hinton and the best flying was from Sebastiano Silvestry. His spins with the Avanti S with 250 N engine were amazing. He flipped from inverted spins to spins the right way up with ease, but the best I saw was a catherine wheel edge knife spin. He also did knife edge loops some with a roll at the top. He is a real master. Many of the rest of the pilots were clearly trying to break Mach 3 whether the planes were scale or not.
There were several crashes which is unusual at this level including one of the Airworld MB339 that looked to me like it had no wing tube in it as the wing folded at the first high G manoeuvre. The other 2 MB339 aircraft were flying fine though.
The stands inside were not as many as previously as there were some notable absentees. With a quiet Friday it was possible to visit most stands and chat freely with everyone. The numbers seem down on previous years. I wonder if we have passed the peak of interest in Jet powered planes. They have no got so huge they are of no relevance to the average modeller and the busiest stands were those with the more modest sized planes like the Sebart stand.
Food was the best at any show I have been to and lots of banter with many from the Uk making the trip.

This is one thing we are lacking here in the states, if we had an event like this im sure all the models would sell like hot cakes. Would be awesome to walk into a place and buy it then walk out with it, hard to keep interested in jets with the process you go through to get one.
