Thanks to all the GA Jets guys for a great event! Burned 15 gallons of Jet-A, despite the rain on Friday. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones! Hope to see a lot of you at our jet meet in SC next month Oct 23-25. JS

I don't think Louie has shrunk. Here he is with his dad in 2002 at Liberty Bell.

Another great Super Jet South in the books. Not too much flying on Friday because of the rain but Thursday was good and Saturday was almost perfect. Thanks to everybody who attended! Here are a few pics.

We had a great time in spite of the weather! Great site, great people, great eats...

We were sad to leave, but we did get to take some of Georgia with us!

Bob

ps. That's a "right comfortable looking" chair Jonathan is on. I wonder where he got that??? Hope his back is getting better!

Thanks to Mike and all the SJS guys from the SC gang for your efforts to provide us another great SJS 2015. It was a blast.

Even with the poor weather we had great fun and fellowship with all the jet folks. Thanks again Mike for dragging my truck and camper out of the mud for the trip home. I also took home some of the red Georgia mud as truck and camper decorations.

I have already marked the dates for next year on the planning calendar. I don't want to miss it.

There was a small eflite rare bare and another little silver, grey racer that was flying in the rainy weather. Anyone know what that was?

pretty sure Jamie Snipes was flying it. I can remember if it was the Hobby king one or not.

I was flying the smaller black/white Hobby King Rare Bear. It's about 115mph stock setup or 160 mph with the setup I had in it. JS

NTM 28-36 2700kV or 3000 kV. 60A ESC. 4S-1300mah ... 65-90C. 5.5x4.5 APC prop.

I upgraded the linkages. Cheap servos are fine but I upgraded mine to Spektrum digitals because I had them.

You need to cut down the ailerons to about 2/3 their stock length to prevent flutter above 140 mph...just glue/tape the outboard section to the wingtip.

Be sure to glue the wing spar in the center...the China glue it comes with is not good enough.

Highest fun/dollar in RC! LOL! You get 6 or 8 of these racing on stock setup and its a blast! Sometimes you can catch the old brand "Sky Angels RC" P-47 or P-51 airframes on ebay or amazon for like $30. Easiest is to just order the HK Pylon Race version Rarebear...you can start flying it stock and then add the speed setup when you're ready.

Enjoy....JS
