Default A-10 vs. F-35?

There was an article questioning the validity of the F-35 as a suitable replacement for the A-10 and wondered if the F-35 was capable of landing on an "unprepared" surface. Here's the video from the article showing the A-10 doing just that.

George it's another case of if it ain't broke don't try to fix it ! ! !
I'm really personally delighted that the wart hog is getting the attention/survival that it deserves......
I sold a MIBO A-10 to Lockheed Martin a few years ago to be used as there test bed for the upgrades.

I'd like to see an F-35 do that............ I personally hope the Belgian government doesn't choose the F35 as a replacement for the F-16's.... although, since the dutch are so heavily involved in the program, and given the profound cooperation between our countries, I'm afraid there 'll be no other option.... I'd love to see hornets in our skies!!! (Tomcat would be My n° 1 choice though ;-)))
