I had an awesome time at Florida jets. It was the first outing for the Sabre and it flew just great.

As I said to Greg after he flew, a lot of jets look big on the ground but small in the air. This thing has PRESENCE and looks big in the air. Despite challenging conditions Gregs jet flew extremely well.

So there are no pre cut slats? Anyone with an idea how much work and fiddling to get operative slats?

affas,

The kit does come with the pre molded slats but they have not designed any of the guides or slides into the wing for them to be functional. In my opinion they are absolutely not needed for any reason. It would also be a big undertaking to try and design that into the wing with out risking to much damage and extra work.

I now have put in it's first season of flying the plane the first 25Hrs on the K-210 and guessing close to 170 flights.

I'm pleased with the way the plane has handled all of this and i still love the way it flies.

Slats are not necessary But the speed boards do help a lot on the landing speed. Mine came in weighing 74 pounds wet. and still floats on landing.

Regards,
Because not all Canadair Sabres HAD slats. Many were equipped with 6-3 hard wings, no slats !! Increased G capability but with higher approach speed !

Behzad,

They come off very easily. The fin with one bolt, the stab with four bolts.
