Looks great, I might get to maiden mine this weekend. If you go to MS jets I'm sure we could do some formation flying.

Haha, yep! Thanks for some of the "tips" you gave us on your build thread. This took a bit longer than I thought it would to get RTF. I ended up going with all SAE screws/bolts/nuts. Ran the 4-40 all-threads for pushrods with CF tubing, Dubro Ball Links and golden clevis's.

The P-200 (v.6.0) was a bit tight but managed to get r dun. The FOD screen on these old heaters are so big, I had to modify the bottom of it (flatten the ring out) to get it to clear the smoke tank...which but the way, is a really nice set up. Plenty of room for everything.

Well checked the CG today with my new gen3 xicoy balancer and it seems much more accurate and is lining up with my cg that I already did the old way. Mine showed just tail heavy, needed about 0.23 lbs to make it level but since im going with a little further aft CG this should be spot on since the measurements are for the book CG final weight is 40.5 lbs with UAT full tank empty. So a bit heavier than I wanted but thats the P200 weight. Planning to maiden it tomorrow so happy about that.

Ha Ha,
P-200 a bit tight, I had to put a
AMT Olympus in mine. Now that's tight. But glad I did, I love my throttle response, I was a bit worried but it's the perfect set up. See u guys at MS Afterburner, or Rebel Pro week.
Lol

Hey Robert, WOW...yes, you win on stuffing the turkey!!! I got the maiden done plus a few more flights today and this thing sings with a P-200. Flew 9 minutes and landed with over a 1/3 of a tank left! Knife edges, point rolls...and this thing could compete in IMAC too!!!

Very, very happy with this bird! I don't miss my Lightning or KingCat anymore! Dialed in the Cortex Gyro, thanks to help from Mike Pascoe. Believe it or not, this is a first for me on using a Gyro. Well, I had heading hold on a SM F-18 several years ago but this is new to me...love it!

Will dial in the smoke system tomorrow, if the weather stays nice.

Congrats Rex, I tried to run mine today but the p200 just pops and spit's then gives me a acceleration time out. Plus I had to change out power system control box it kept shutting off and on Not sure why my p20o isn't running hopefully we can figure it out tomorrow at the field and get the maiden done.

Awesome Rex, glad to hear it all went well.
Yes it's an Amazing RC Aircraft,
I love mine, and yes the KingCat is for sale, use those funds on a small Rebel. 😎😎😎😎

FenderBean, easy on that Green Bird,
U have that color because I'm the one that ordered it. I got your Orange one.
Witch I swapped for a Red one.

Well it all worked out, I went out and ran the turbine again its still spitting flames all kinds of crazy stuff. So hopefully some of the Nashville guys have some jetcat experience. Starting to think something is messed up on the throttle and fail safe settings since I get the flashing lights at low trim and high trim?

Thanks Keith, David and Robert! Pretty easy maiden. Really enjoyed using the Demon Gyro too. I was a "purist" that became a "why did I wait so long-ist". Keith, sounds like a ECU motherboard issue. Been there before!

Rex, I just got off the phone with John, it may be the kero plug valve stuck open since fuel runs out both lines when I purge the main fuel line. If the valve is being opened by the ecu wrong then it's probably the ecu. Hopefully the new valve will fix it, probably going to be next month before I can get the maiden done.

Alright, let's get all these Rebels at the Mississippi Afternoon and have a Rebel shootout. I'll bring a small Rebel. Today I had my small one
next to the Rebel Pro, maybe I should stay on the porch

Maiden flight done today, all is well. Only one flight done, but did get the fight surfaces trimmed.

Notice that brakes on my model don't seem to be very effective. Any suggestions for improving stopping power of the brakes supplied with the Airtech landing gear.

David, what brake valve are you using? I went with the Jetronics Low Loss Electronic Brake Valve...had the same issue and turned to RTV up. Also, they are a bit programmable.

I am currently using the up6 valve on my Hawk that has the Airtech gear. It does good. I will not lock the tires. I have to say I had a BVM on my first big hawk that I lost at KY Jets and I liked it a lot. It seem to stop a little quicker and it also wouldn't lock up the big wheels.

We have not had any issues with the Airtech brakes. same ones we use for Shockwave.
We use Jettronics low loss brake valves.
apply air to brake directly and check then back trace to valve.
Please let me know what you find.
