Thanks guys!

Roger, compared to you, I'm like putting legos together over here! Your Hun looks like jewelry man!

I love BV's ordinance release mechanism. It took me 15 minutes to get it all up and ready for flight!! Love it!!

Now, only 3 hours for paint.

"Little Raffy" He certainly resembles is father. A big congrats Mr V. I can say I knew you when.... completing your residency in Fresno, when you were learning to fly RC with a hodge podge of entry level planes. Man, has time flown by. Happy for you man! John O.

HA! Yup, he took after his good looking mama! LOL

I got more work done on the 86.

The nose gear is in and so are the retractable landing lights. Yeah, I know, not in the scale position. I just wasn't about to destroy them if the nose gear ever decides not to come down!

Here is something the BV manual doesn't tell you. Make sure your tap the carbon fiber gear door attachment with a 2-56 tap BEFORE gluing. It was a PITA doing it after.

I usually HATE gear doors. But BV has all the geometry figured out for you and it really is a pleasure to do. Thanks uncle Bob!

Next up were the airbrakes.

You have to cut out the airbrakes and install them.

On the instructions, it says you have to install a new former, but BV already installed it in my 86, so that saved me a step.

Also, I wanted servo actuated airbrakes, so I had to add some servo blocks and made that all happen.

BV also includes scale like covers which add a really cool contrast with the rest of the airbrake.

Rav do you have a work shed outside you do all your building or is that a garage? I don't have a garage and most of my building is in the house. Now wife doesn't like that too much. Thinking of investing in a nice 20x12 work shed outside

I have a shed outside that I have converted to my Jet room. It's a little smaller than I would like, but it's ok for now. I would say a 20 x 12 space would be just about perfect!

Sorry guys,

I've been gone for a while. New baby, "new" old house, yada, yada, yada.

But I've snuck a little time here and there and have got actually some really nice work in.

I used Greg's cool linear servo's that are made in canada and I made the canopy completely electric.

As you can also see, BV sent me the stencils to paint the "skyblazers".

He even sent a pic of where to mount it and had the edges already cut out to line up with panel lines. Thanks Uncle Bob!

Here are some assembled pics.

I'm actually really close to being done with it. My details4scale light controller was defective, so I'm waiting on a replacement from Dan.

I've got a little bit of fuel pump questions that Barry is being very helpful with and then all I need to do is CG it and it will be ready to fly soon!

Fantastic F-86! I love these and the Skyblazer scheme always looked nice on the 86. Perfect size. Dig the sliding canopy. This is going to be a great jet.

Rav your going to enjoy it. I have been flying mine for 4 years now. I did add about 1/8 inch up to both ailerons . Jack Diez told me to do it to help it from snaping. It still does it to me once in a while but I'm at 5000 ft. Looks good Dan
