Default KingTech K180G Turbine Only! (ARF) From eaglen2fb Elgin , IL

Thanks Vin for bringing this to our attention...

To whom this may concern:

This engine was flown in by Ali from the UK and was removed from the luggage from his connecting flight within the US. In order for Ali to conduct his demo without interruption, we had replenished him with a replacement at the expenses between the factory, myself and Ali, so as far as we are concerned, the three parties jointly claim the title to this engine, since no insurance was ever filed from us.

For the sake of moving things forward as a finder's fee and charity to Avenue of Independence, Glenn has been offered for what he paid as stated in a receipt provided from A of I for the amount of $500, or equal value in credit for a complete engine for the easier success of his first turbine experience, but Mr. LaRocco rejected and insisted that he had experts to assist him and running turbine engine is no "rocket science." Subsequently Mr. LaRocco claims he never paid for the engine, but rather traded with his labor which worth more than $500, at which point I ceased my negotiation with him. Now, Mr. LaRocco is saying in his ad, he bought it from "a place in Wheeling IL"

So he didn't buy it from Avenue of Independence, since A of I is located in Park Ridge, Illinois 60068
http://avenuestoindependence.org/contact_us but he could somehow obtain a receipt from A of I?

American Airlines has been contacted and is looking into this matter.

KingTech will always decline to support on engines that maybe stolen and/or with dubious or debatable title, especially one that we are still claiming.

Regards,
Barry

Full Disclosure The Story behind the Turbine
I acquired this Kingtech 180G from a place in Wheeling IL that gets unclaimed items from the Airlines to sell to help out disabled people who need help to get through life living day to day All legit have receipt in hand .

Next I sent Barry Hou from King Tech a message that I bought this turbine and needed help on what I needed to complete this setup, so I get a phone call and right out of the box he tells me I have no business owning a turbine not even knowing who I am right away I’m thinking this guy is the most rudest and most arrogant person I ever talked too , after a few minutes of talking and giving him the serial number he tells me the turbine was taken out of luggage of someone who was flying on American Airlines and a note was left in the bag from the TSA now at that point you would make a claim with the airline to recover it or the value BUT no one did so that’s what im told from Barry which I find that hard to believe any way he tells me I can’t give you any support he will sell me everything I need but he won’t give me support figure that one out.

Call made to the Airline /TSA and they tell me they put a reclaim number tags in the bags so you can file a proper claim now they would not tell me exactly want happened because I am not the owner of the claim number but usually the owner of the item makes an insurance claim for the value and the item becomes the property of the Airlines or the item is recovered Bingo end of story!

I have been modeling for over 35 years and I have never dealt with a person as rude and arrogant as Barry Hou and want no part of owning a King Tech Product, so I have decided to sell the turbine to the highest Bidder and part of the proceeds will be donated to Avenues of Independence.

This is just for the Turbine which appears to be new, only you will need to buy all the accessories to run the Turbine unless you already have the component’s.

I originally made a very succinct message in response directly to the ad, only to be denied from its removal by the seller, Mr. Glenn LaRocco, hence this thread. I hope all the prospective buyers get to read about our position, thanks.

Barry

Keep up the great work! That guy came off as a real jerk posting a listing like that with a stolen engine, thanks for looking out for us Kingtech owners. I personally would not offer any support for that engine either.

First off I am so tired of the TSA when it comes to claiming you hard earn property. I hope Barry or Ali recover the turbine. It is getting really bad when you get to a airport and your not sure if you can or can't take a item with you. The TSA just takes it instead of offering leave behind or reclaim it after they research it for any type of threat to the airlines then let you make other arrangements to recover it instead of giving it away.

Yes it really sucks with someone tries to had behind a charity on top of that.

Ok it's Monday.. Boy can't wait till the weekend

I wonder why AA released that motor to be sold as unclaimed when there are people filing a claim to get it back, that sucks. Good job Barry thx for clearing this up.

He has it listed on RC Groups, Someone else posted that he got it from Craigslist and posted the pictures.

Same ad in the other Forum. I wonder if someone just got sticky hands at the airport.

I was unaware of the situation. All i know it was on craigslist and called barry to inquire about it. It sold so fast. I actually met the fellow at a swap and i offered to buy it. I was told it was donated to some charity and thats how the lady got it.

So, I guess the conclusion is that it was "legally stolen" by TSA, AA, and the other guys involved !!! Nice.

Not if he has the insurance money it becomes the property of the Airlines. This guy is a huge lair his story changed Three times with me only to make me believe hes hiding something.

Also tells me he thought they destroyed that turbine why would he think that unless he got the insurance money ????

Got a E-mail from an RCU Member tells me Barry had this turbine pumped up for ALI so now you can add fraud to his list goes around telling people look our K180 is stronger than the competition also now makes sense why he wanted it back so bad.

Eaglen2fb if you have not noticed the RC jet community is extremely tight and nothing you say about a respected member of our community means a thing.

This has always made me wonder, I know people frequently visit the unclaimed baggage stores and buy stuff that is brought in from the airlines. These companies actually go to the airlines and get the stuff as well. I don't understand how its all legal but it is, that being said the turbine has a serial number and if the original owner can prove the item is his I dont see why this couldnt be handled with the police or a lawyer. Isnt there a bill of sale to the original owner?
