SM/Xtremejets F18c HD video
Forgot to post back when it had the maiden but this video is well done by Walter Colby in HD. This landing is a little hot but have since figured out how to land with the airbrake out and a slower touch down. K180 for power. gyro on ailerons and nose steering. Don't know if others have issue needing to control roll after touch down due to the narrow stance on the F-18? of if there is something else going on.

Nice flight! and absolutely, the F-18 needs to "fly" the wing after touchdown, due to the main gear lateral flexibility.. in a crosswind landing this takes a lot of pilot workload.
A gyro in the ailerons not only makes the plane look prettier in the air, but also helps a lot in this situation.

Thanks guys! That is an operational centerline tank from DW/Jet-tech that is meant for an F-16. I copied Raffy since he did it like that back in the day. But I technically never use it since internals provide 1.5 gallons and then I would be over 2 gallons if using the centerline tank. That's a lot of fuel. May use it for smoke
Its a good point about the crosswind. we did have a bit from the east that day making a direct crosswind. Visibility was tough also that day. gray on gray.
