Default Jet Estate help identifying????

I am asked to help sell my LJFB inventory, While I am a turbine waivered jet pilot I have no clue of identifying vintage, original specs, literature links and price as new to put a value on this stuff. I am certain it would all be newer than 10 years old. everything is new in original packagin. Any help would be greatly appreciated, If someone can get me contacts to Jim Hiller please PM details.

Thanx
Mike Fuller

Mike, I am not that familiar with the Jet Central turbine. I haven't a clue as to the size. However I can shed some light on the Wren. It's a Wren 44 electric start. The paper work indicates that it was the first Wren44 built on 23 February 2007 and sent to the original owner on 1 March 2007. The current day price for that engine is $2434 but that includes the British Value added tax. You would deduct the VAT if it was sold to a buyer in the USA. The Wren 54 is an out of production engine. It appears to be electric start also. Can't tell if it's kero start or propane. I'd place the value for that engine around $2K.

Do you go to the Unlimited Hydroplane races in the summer? I had a chance to see the races in Syracuse NY several years ago (they don't come this far east any more). Also happened to be in Seattle during Sea Fair. I love to see them run. They are thrilling to watch and hear even after they switched power to the turbines.

That's a very early Jet Central Rhino, along with the two Wrens.

I would go to the Classifieds and research Sold/Unsold engines to get an idea at what you're up against. The market is very "soft" right now; and even though they are NIB, the fact is, they are older and all appear to be propane start. With that said, they are good useable engines for the right person/s, but I wouldn't expect to get top dollar for any of them.

Of course this is just my opinion.

#3 is a Wren 54 Mk2- Propane start electric starg14 pounds of thrust-As wren is in flux right now is an orphan for the time being. I would think you could get $1300 or so for it.

Mike and all, Wren is not in "flux". I just got a new Wren 44i Turbo prop from them. Also had a Gold case, air start, 44 upgraded to a 44i kero start and they are currently repairing another 44i Turbo prop I put into a swamp in Mass. I have had lengthy conversations with Mike regarding the upgrade and the TP repair. Wren is up and running.

Contact the engine
manufacturers, ask them about the history of those serial numbers. They should be able to give you author active, definitive info which will in turn increase the value of those items.

This was my flying buddy of which I only flew his jets he passed this year so I know the history they all are zero hours and in original packaging boxes and sealed bags from OEM since purchased, I just did not know of the booty cache he had beyond the 4 jets I fly regularly in my possesion.

The JC has a TroyBuiltModels sticker on the 5600 LiOn battery, would this mean he purchased it there?

I have just begun to start the moving process and it sounds as if I need to locate the Rhino documentation to insure a lifetime warranty option can be part of the sale? or just keep it for myself

Do you have any ideal of pricing of the F-18 or the Hawk? Also what paint scheme is on the Hawk and if the Hawk is SM Xtreme 1.5 version or the Pro model larger one?

I am in talks with someone to get the F18 sold he has made an offer, I will send him a photo essay including all the bits he is expecting in hisxoffer prior to sending funds, you see I am helping out my buddies estate I need to know what is expected to insure I round it up, with life and wanting to help out a real modeler knowing what he wants and having researched and score a bargain I can focus my time more productive and avoid resellers who I would preffer not get the deal of a lifetime.

The Hawk is of the earlier white red scheme, if there are specific details of the legacy of the kit you can help identify as to its vintage please do help out in providing that info, this one is in original shipping box and all parts in original bubble wrap, It also has a binder of rcu build threads printed out I dont remember date but eventually get ther. So if your seriuos, know what you want, know the budget you have in mind to get that dream jet for christmas, make the list and make an offer. I appreciate those that have pm good will wishescfor my buddy

I appreciate you reply. I will wait to find out more before I take any more of your time. I thank you for helping out a family and a past friend. I will follow the thread to see what's the price and what kit it is. I am not interested in reselling.

Best of luck on selling all of it.

That is an interesting question, if you are selling for the estate then technically it is still registered with the original owner, then maybe along with the $250.00 transfer fee the new owner might be eligible. I would contact Jose Melendez who is the official Jet Central liaison in the USA.

Gentlemen,
This thread is borderline to begin with as we don't normally allow such threads on RCU. However, we can let the thread run if, and ONLY IF, you keep the negotiation of any dollar values for any sales of these items out of the open threads. As long as you keep the talk of dollars and other such talk out of the thread we'll let the thread run, otherwise we're going to have to close it down. Sorry to be such a buzzkill here, but this is out of our RCU Community Rules. Trust me, I would rather we let this thread run as I've had to help get rid of an estate in the past, so I know how hard it is. So please follow the rules of no money talk in the forums and we can let the thread run. Once you get to discussing any monies please take that talk to PM's

Thanks for understanding.

Ken

If you have a receipt from Todd for a SM aircraft, then it's very old!

Regarding the messages you're getting, I can only imagine this is what they must be talking about.

George can you tell me if th. ARF package quite different than the old school version? Is it even the same mold plug? Has ARF Jets manufacturing been reducing over the years steadil? Is the gear and tanks better/worse. OR was Eric (W) and Todd Just that skethcy in margins?
