Just my usual luck as with cars and other equipment. Things tend to get broken when I look at them

Is anyone having good luck with the ATJ-140SV? I've had 2 ATJ-120Ti engines that the rear bearing didn't oil so they ruined bearings every 8hrs of run time. I have a ATJ-140SV now and it runs great but starting to get some bearing noise like my previous ATJ engines at only 5hrs of run time. Wonder if anyone has had same problems or good luck with them?

That explains my problems too i guess. ATJ 16 KG (don't remember the model), bearings ruined after 5 hours. It was sent to Taiwan 3 months ago and never heard back from them.

Well I hope you hear something soon. Joseph has treated me well in the past for most part but getting these engines sent back to Taiwan seems to be difficult.

I guess this is the end of my ATJ engine story. At least the airplane survived....

Anyone know if they are at Jet Power event this year? Be curious to see if they are making any engine efforts.

Default ATJ Contact Info

Hello everyone:

I recently bought a used ATJ 120Ti that appears to be in very good condition. However, the engine was missing the GSU. This is the older engine that uses the RS232/phone connector type of cable between the engine and the ECU and between the ECU and the GSU. I tried contacting Joseph over the last two weeks. I first tried: [email protected] and got no response after three e-mails over a 2 week period. Four days ago I sent him an e-mail using the address: [email protected] and got a response today (four days after I sent him the e-mail). He sells the Xicoy V10 ECU that will interface to the older ATJ turbines using the RS232/phone connector type of cable. The ECU comes with the new GSU. I am posting this so that anyone who needs an ECU or GSU for the older engines can contact him.

10 pilot send your engine back get it converted to the v10 ecu as the connections are different and you will get the new GSU as well.

I thought about that but given the lack of responsiveness from ATJ I have decided to buy the hardware and have it shipped here. Joseph sold me a new Xicoy V10 ECU and a new GSU for $285 shipped to the U.S.. His new Xicoy unit is a V10 with the phone type connector between the engine and the ECU. If I need to upgrade the engine at a later date, I will try sending it back to him.

Thanks for the input,
Ed
