go to hardware store and get small strong magnet 4 of them and glue to each side of the rial and the wing tip, that way you can remove it when you put it in a wing bag and they don"t break when the wing tip over some time, it work for me.
good luck

Good way to learn how to slow down before you turn. :-) Mine are filled with foam i would rather damage the rails than the wing.

that why I just pick up my rail and snap it back on and continue to fly the rest of the day and fly the sh@#@#$%t out of my jet then I go home touch up some paint on my wing because I can't afford to buy a new rail and wait for them to send it to me it take forever, THANKS FOR A GOOD TIP

I did the maiden this morning, did some adjustments and flew again. My first impression, without giving the F-18c a fair chance I guess is I like the Super Hornet better. I want to give it some more time though, give it a chance and get my trims and CG where I want them, then I'll decide. It looks cool, I was flying with two wing tanks and wing and tip missiles. I was surprised at how much power I needed especially in the turns, a couple of times with half throttle it got mushy and started falling. At 1/4" up elevator to compensate for full flap was way too much, I reduced that for the next flight. Air brake wants to push the nose up, I definitely want to use that for the landings, I had a hard time slowing it down for landing.

I used some long flat head screws from Home Depot, I'll get the specifics if you want.

I would be curious as to the details of set up as well...What was your CG set at Ect? Was the power too much ect? Or she doesn't like to fly slow?
Mentioned you couldn't slow her down? Calm conditions...? or she just flying HOT?

Yes you want to slow it down so the 1/4" is part flap pitch compensation part attitude setup and sets up a nice nose up attitude.. Do that manually if you like instead. For me it is like a mode or trim and then I add additional elev for approach and landing.

I think this wing design sucks, Skymaster why on earth would you make a wing without washout? The full scale F-18 has 4 degrees of wingtip washout, the Skymaster wing is flat! I checked it with Robart incidence meters.
I believe the wing stalls before the fuselage, when I would go into a turn with a low power setting the combination of the slow speed and aileron deflection caused the wings to stall, I feel the plane is a poor design, or at least the wings are anyway.
I feel tempted to make my own wings, maybe I'm wrong about all this, especially since others have had such great success, I will continue to fly it and see if I can tame it. One plane this thing can't compete with is the Yellow F-15, that is how a jet should perform.

Luke, you are right. I did this check too and found my wings are all 0 incidence. Which in some sense is good(at least not washin!) but bad it does not match the full size. A little washout is generally a good idea for good all-around handling. I did not realize the full size had that much but makes sense now I think about those high G pulls/tail rotating you see at airshows and never any tendency to snap. I wonder if a little crow would help?

Yea, this thing flies like a turd, not a fighter. I'm going to build new wings, I'll cut them out of blue foam with the same airfoil and 4 degrees of washout. I just want others to know that when they buy these plank wing planes they fly just like a door would with a motor on it. Live and learn.

I like your ambition. If you find it improves the landing, I may follow your lead and build some. One thing we know about the JL design is that the position of the wing is different and it is possible the entire wing is different as well. They have a great reputation for landing and it wouldn't surprise me if they have washout.

question is, do you like the F-18.
I really like mine and it flies fine. It's "scale" so I expect some inefficiencies and more of a challenge than a sport jet. Can it be made to fly better, yes. But I'm having fun with it and that's all that matters.

Ron don't listen to me, fly it! It does go up in the air, flies in fast circles and you can land it, kind of like a Chinese maiden and flight test, the one flight they do before selling it. So go for it, I'd love to hear what you think!
On mine, airfoil templates made and foam ready to cut.
