So..is the radio FCC approved or not? I've heard both. Almost two weeks ago I got the call saying the radio would be shipping in 2-3 weeks (this Thursday or next)...is that still the plan?

thanks

No we do not have final approval yet, we have pasted tests and we are still in the process of certification.
Our first batch of Jeti DS-24 has been produced and shipped to us. Looks like radios will be sitting here for few more days till we get the sticker. Unfortunately hurricane IRMA set us back by few days.

Ok, sorry to keep asking here but I'm looking for clarity: that first batch of 50 is sitting in the shop waiting the FCC stickers and then shipment?

My understanding was that approval had been granted and that's why Esprit called for the additional $1400. I understand the hurricane is slowing things down dramatically, but Esprit asked for the additional money after the hurricane, so the effects should have been known at that time. Is there a concern the FCC will demand physical changes and the 50 there will be paperweights?

A friend was told the end of Nov for shipment when he called yesterday. Is that correct or is your "a couple more days" correct? Based on the email asking for more money, shipment was to occur tomorrow or a week from. A couple days delay on that would be mid October, not the late November stated. ZB, please help us understand here a bit

Thank you
Dave

I wonder how many of us preordered this radio? We all ponied up are $700 and now we wait. I am on 8 months and starting to think this can go on through to the end of the year if not the next. What a shame! I have invested in three aircraft with the on board Jeti system all waiting for a radio.

I'm at 11mo and a buddy is at 13. The wait I don't mind..the lack of info is frustrating me. They had no prob finding my contact when they needed $1400, but I hear nothing otherwise.

ZB I can read your post above as the FCC testing still has 4-6 weeks remaining. Is that correct?

Thank you
Dave

Based on the recent marketing e-mails, the majority of batch #1 are orange and green!

Those of us who selected any of the other 5 colors, we will have to wait a bit longer... ;-)

Curious how stabilization will be incorporated by JETI into our systems if we are using CB200 or CB400?

It's quite simple there are only two options.

1) Do not do anything and wait till we get FCC out of the way. This option would leave us with radio delivery date probably mid/late December

2) Pool our resources. Order, manufacture and deliver radios to our Florida warehouse and be ready in instant when the certification passes.
It's much easier to respond with product on hand if there is some kind problem, most of the problems can be solved it in the house. It's much easier to ship overnight single box with new boards, few ferrites or even install new firmware update on all radios here in FL. Unfortunately neither us or Jeti have enough resources to be able pull this off without your help. Add cost of production and FCC/CE certifications of DS-24, Rex 900, Rex R7/10/12 Assist receivers and we are all broke.

Like we mentioned before our first shipment of DS-24 is already on the way and will be here early next week. We will have another 2 shipments arriving later this month, in 2-3 weeks we will have enough to cover all pre-orders that were placed till end of the August. All colors are covered except bright red, even black is in production. If any of you guys would be in Florida you are welcome to stop by and play with any of the DS-24

You need to swap primary R3 for any of the new Jeti REX R7/10/12 Assist receivers and you will have first 16 channels stabilized.

And how about the bright red? That was ordered Nov 11th last year and final payment was taken over two weeks ago now. I'm not sure I understand your Dec comment either...can you explain that pls?

So if the primary REX w/assist drops out the aircraft looses stabilization correct?

Matt... DS24 is at FCC currently pending approval shortly... As soon as it’s passed I will have one and will let you know. I will have a jet ready with two R3’s and one R900 (just passed FCC) receiver for the DS24

It would depend on how you have it connected. If you used an assist as the Primary and an R3 or RSat as the secondary into a CB200 then Yes, if the primary loses signal there would be no stabilization.
If you have an Assist as the Primary and an Rsat or R3 as a secondary via a PPM link into the Assist than I would expect stabilization to be maintained since primary / secondary receiver data should be processed before stabilization is handled.

Can you run 2 R3's on 2.4 for signal and then also the 900 mhz as a backup? I thought you had to give up one of the R3's in order to add the 900?

At the moment your right you need to loose a R3.....but once the update is out I understand that you will be able to run 2x R3 2.4 and 1x R3 900, just a matter of time now.

Easy to use (3) RX with one being the R900 now.
(2) 2.4GHz RX into Cortex Pro with output 6 from the Cortex Pro to RX1 of a Central Box.
R900 to RX2 of the Central Box.
