I've had my DS-24 for just a little over a month now, it's my first Jeti radio and so far I'm very impressed with its capabilities. I got two of my jets setup this past weekend and I definitely now understand why there is so much emphasis (in the forums) on the significance of using flight modes, especially for flaps (I'm really loving flight mode trims!). I also really like the preflight switch position check at power on, I just wish it would tell you which switch was not properly set, maybe a future firmware upgrade?

Those switch alarms are one of the best things ever added to radio software. how many times have you heard of someone turning on the radio with the gear switch in the wrong position causing the gear doors to get ripped off or a dual rate switch wrong causing interesting take offs? also when set right the radio will not boot till you fix the switch(s) .

I'm looking for a smaller jeti for the smaller models and electrics. the biggest thing i am looking for is the ability to use it for a wireless trainer radio with my DS 24. My question is.. are we going to have to buy the wanted software upgrades like the 14 and 16? and.. is the radio case itself plastic or metal like the 14,16,24 ?

In this setup, where would the telemetry sensors best be plugged in if you are plugging in 15 servos to the CB?

The reason I did not notice this before is that the switch I had out of place was on the top left in the back, so when the wide bar alarm displayed it covered up most of the flashing indicator on what switch was out of place. Now that I know what to look for all is good! -Tom

Based on this description is sounds like a DS-24 except it only has 12 channels? If that is the case how can the DS-24 cost $1900 more? -Tom

Many, many, many differences. Aluminum frame you can make only one at the time, plastic you run 500-5000 in no time in the mold.
That's one example.

I took few pictures with DS-12 and DS-24 side by side.
The Brand New Jeti DS-12 only 718g/1.6 lbs.

I have just updated my CB200 to V1.3 firmware and can see an issue with telemetry. The 900 back-up works as it should connected to Ext1, however if I now configure 15/Ext2 as telemetry input it will not see the JetCat data stream. If I use Ext1 to populate the tx sensor list it works fine, if I then change the port settings in the CB to 15/Ext2 for telemetry it will read the data but not refresh when powered down. It seems I can either have the 900 back-up or engine telemetry, not both! Any ideas? All rx and tx are running current firmware.

Checked settings again and telemetry is not good on 15. CB200 pin output 15 is set to telemetry. It only works when I cycle between Ex bus and telemetry on pin 15 setting after I have powered up, otherwise the data fields are empty. Can anyone confirm they have this working correctly? Am I missing something simple?

That's interesting Mick. Several of us have identified that CB200 and CB400 have telemetry connection problems with MBAR sensors, and I have also now found a problem with G-force data from Assist Rx, Tx sees the name but the data field is empty. We will be reporting the issues to Jeti when they return from holiday next year. But not every piece of apparently identical equipment has the problems so it will be difficult to isolate the problems. The issue you are having may be connected.

Saw this over on RCG in the Jeti thread this AM:
“...One more thing, that is related, is my CB 200s after the last updates would only work for some telemetry sensors not all and then only if they were plugged in directly, an expander didn't work at all. The fix for that was System > Configuration > PPM Con. setting - change to PPM16. I found this info here, it worked. Mini how to - CB 200 set up

So it looks like they inadvertently set the default to 8 rather than 16 in this latest release?

Thanks for your response guys. Unfortunately changing the PPM Con to PPM16 has not made a difference as it will still not see the JetCat sensors. I don't have a Jeti sensor to hand to try, but can't understand why it works perfectly when direct into Ext1. Bit frustrating as I'm setting up a new model and wanted both the R900 and engine telemetry.

Away from my stuff, but I’m pretty much convinced it’s a simple correction to make it work, i never had one device not working since 2013, don’t see why they would release software with something this wrong....I will test stuff after the new year, I have plenty sensor including air/speed/gps/expander ect....

New to Jeti and wanted to ask how to do something. When I turn on a plane I would like to get a voice announcement when a particular RX binds. I have looked around at different threads but have not found the way to do it. I know how to set the voice announcement, but don't know how to tie it to a particular RX.
