Ok, been a bit since we have posted. Rushing to get this bird ready for Florida Jets. Here are some pictures of the entire front door process. It was quite the endevour and leaving the last touch up paint till the end. I have a few more tweeks but they are basically done other than the touch up paint. On the right side is what you see, turbine ECU battery, air fill and gauge. Also the light controller. On the other side are both of the Reciever Lipos and possibly the Lipo for the Lights. Both doors are locked with hidden rods and also the canopy lock rod is also in the left side.

So here we have the air tank installation, the lines, and the view from inside to the equipment trays under the doors. Also started putting together the spinal cord with all the wires and the few air lines since the only thing using air are the retracts and brakes. Much cleaner install. Even though I don't like to show my personal touches in progress, these are the panels for all the equipment and they will be completed in the next few days. I will post pictures of the completed product.

We are getting close to being done, sorry for the delay in getting some more pics up. I have finished the interior install and now working on getting all the systems up and running correctly. The electric gear door conversation works great! Very scale operation both up and down. Ill get a video up of the gear operation. Should be ready for maiden this weekend.

Gear is still air powered, just the doors are electric. Danny's nose access doors were custom made by him for the Hawk. Its a very nice addition to the scale look of the jet for sure. Nice work Danny!

I opted for the JMP High flow valve with the 4mm line outputs and a servo to drive it. I wanted more airflow than the Jettronic has because of the ID of the in and out ports. It will be cool to see the comparison in speed of retraction. I like the slow scale look but get worried, as I had issues with my F-14 that once the airframe is moving at takeoff speed, that the gear may hang up. Given, the gear on the F-14 swung forward into the wind versus the hawk where it moves sideways to close. Its going to be a cool comparison!

Craig and Danny, I know Craig is using Jettronic valve and Danny the high flow JMP, but are all three gear going through a single valve in both cases? I assume so, but just confirming.
Also ... the stock airlines on mine were very very easy to pull off the nipples. With safety wire they would not pull off but would rotate. 1/8" fits on the nipple like I'm used to but smaller id therefore smaller air volume. Did you use the stock airlines or replace them?
I see that Craig went with Robart tanks. Did you find leaks in stock tanks or just preference?
Thx, JS

Hey Jay, Yes both jets will be flying at Florida Jets! I will be there Thursday morning and most likely one of us will fly.
