It will be nice indeed........

In order to have an idea how to build it I have to draw a plan for each individual part, I'm taking all the possible measurements to do that.

I think so far with Johnny's help I have about 95% of the jet, coming out with a plan how to put it back together is taking some thinking to do including the plans, I never seen my working area so unorganized with airplane pieces all over

The canopy/hatch is done, as you can see the front piece if the canopy fits nicely on the drawing.

I go this 170 oz. tank molds secured, this is given me a second option on the fuel tank for the jet ( first option is to use a Dubro tank ) I'm also working on having a third option for the fuel tank but that one will come later during the build of the first model.

Really enjoying your build thread. I have a TBM DV8R that I have not flown yet. I have the Sierra gear and tore off the covering and re-did the covering to do an RAF scheme. I purchased the DV8R years ago. Maybe I will get it all together this summer. Looking to put a Rabbit in it for power. Keep up the wonderful work. Chic

Thank you feel free to post pictures.

So far is going good collecting the little bits and pieces that are missing, learning a lot during the dismantle, drawing and measurements of the parts, lots of thinking on what wood to use since the Chinese balsa feels like light ply also how to change it from metric back to inches so it will be easier for anyone to build.

After changing the Chinese woods to real balsa wood, light ply and some aircraft ply I have a feeling that the final total weight is going to be much less that the arf ( I can only hope ) and can't wait to start the build of the first V3.

In one word, no.

I wanted to but I lost the building space and desire then, now I have enough room to build, before starting this project I looked at it and decided to build what I wanted to build not what I had to, makes it easier to complete a project.

I think I keep pushing the Turbinator build in the back burner because the way Nick wants you to build is not easy and it took me a good amount of time looking at the plans and reading the instructions to figure out the building process.

I like to build but I'm a flyer first I also want to build a Reaction 54, Bruce's designs are simple to build, I'm almost ready to buy a kit, but will not start until the DV8R project in done, I bet that it will be build before the Turbinator, I don't like to leave projects half way done like the Turbinator ( my only half way project, ever ) at least with those two I can use the same turbine, K80.

Here is the horizontal stabilizer on the bones for those who want to see what you got, so far I've seen enough glue all around.

The H stabilizer and the elevator are done, got the drawing of it and measurements plus pictures to be used to aid the build of it.

I've always liked the look of this sport plane (aggressive). Wish it was a touch smaller in scale though

I got my first turbine experience with one of these. It was 48 pounds (takeoff weight) with a 20 pound turbine. You could tell it was heavy when he took off, but it didn't take long to get to max cruising speed. Flew like a pattern plane.

Got me hooked immediately...

If all goes according to plan the choice of getting your preferred size may be available.

Yep, that be the one. Good guy, he has put several people on a buddy box. He was the first (or one of the first) flyers to get his turbine waiver in this area. Now I will be #13 or 14 when I get mine this year.

The wing is done and gone, only flap and aileron to do, that will be the completion of step one, step two is up to the CAD guy.

Here I am, back from the Turbinator thread from just over a month of massive building to get it all build but not completed, I did that just because scooterginie asked the question, Did I ever completed the Turbinator? I said, no then but now I can say, getting there

I'm taking a short break from the Turbo build to dismantle the last two pieces of the DV8R, aileron and flap, with these two I have it all on paper.

My CAD guy has informed me that the first two PDF files I send him have been fix and converted ( fuselage drawings ) this means that the project is moving as expected

I'm glad that I completed the build of the Turbo, the build has given me some insight and ideas that I can apply to the DV build, looking at both wings I can see some similarities and I'll definitely use the Turbo wing design to improve on the Dv Chinese wing design, I mentioned before, the DV arf wing design can be improved, specially around the gear mount.
