If Pilots want to get together and rent a 40X40, or any size needed we can do that. Just let me know, and I'll let you know the cost. It will be placed in that area. We can make that happen.

If guys want to pool their resources, we can put any tent needed there (40X40 and up to any size). Just let me know, and I'll give you a price.

Any guidelines or "rules" for placement of tents? I ask because what stops someone from putting 4 pop ups in a row taking up 50 ft parallel to the runway?

Thanks,

The area will be blocked for registered pilots only.

I will block off sections for you regular guys, just let me know when you will arrive. All others will be first come, first serve. I'll list a few spaces tomorrow. Any rentals will be first in line, and pop ups in line after that.

Again, if guys want to rent any size tent, we can make it happen. Must know very soon.

Please block off a 24 x 24 section for Scott Adams. Included in this area will be Sebastian Kowalski and Joe Felonk. To save front row space for others we will only put 2 12x12's up front then the rest in back. I will be arriving Wednesday afternoon.
Thanks for all your help Lewis,

Lance will be there all week this year. These reserved spaces are for our pilots who pre registered, and were left without a place after we decided against having #3. All others will be on a first come, first serve basis. This works out much better for us since the price increase. Pilots will have to pre register to keep that place also. I will begin planning for 2017 immediately after 2016, and this is INVALUABLE!!!!

Camping is also going to be much better this year. The hard surface has plenty of room, access to water, and much cleaner. Make sure to bring a hose, and water is less than 100ft away. I like the new arrangement much better!!! It makes the event easier to manage; I know everyone will like it! One year we had to move some people to get an airplane out of the hangar, and then back in. This will no longer be a problem. With an occupancy rate of over 50%, we can no longer block active hangars. Logistically it's much better with this new arrangement, and will work out to everyone's satisfaction.

Lewis

As Lewis has stated the camper layout has changed, there will be No Campers parked next to the hangers, see new layout

The airport manager is supplying a person to direct camper parking on the hard surface.

Refer to post #267 for Big Top Tent assignments. If you don't see your name, look for your group. Saves a ton of work.

Thanks,
Lewis

Grass Area For Pop Up Tents (Formerly Tent #3)

The airport wants to put as many campers on the concrete tarmac as possible, so as not to block ACTIVE HANGARS. They have given us 22 / 33X75 spaces. We have never had that much access before, and should work out well for us. Unlike previous years, over half of the airport hangars are active now. The airport is constantly growing, and we must adjust. The area is very large, and we will be just fine.
Hi Lewis, I am pre- registered and in the past few years I have been with Ken Olson in tent #2, did not see my name on list.

Thanks,
Scott Miller

Corrected, Thanks Lewis!

Scott

I did not see your name initally, but it's on there now. See you soon. Edit your page too, and make the correction. This is shaping up to be a really good crowd. A new pilot from Venezuela just sent paperwork today.

I'm really excited about this year!!!!!!
