Nice work! A friend of mine is making cockpits for both his and my plane - he might be up for making your one as well if you're interested?

I will eventually post some pics of mine. Been making decent process and really hope Carf follow through on their promise of delivering the gear sometime this month - if it does the plan is to get it flown before the new year

Pat, private message me your email and I will send you the file. As long as you don't plan on using it for commercial use. I have modified the design to make it much stronger. Love to see some close ups of your cockpit!

Hi Mike,
Cokpit kit is from Carf. I don't finish it yet but find below some pictures.
Frankly speaking! I would say it's poor quality for price you have to pay for!

front panel, still have to put stickers as instruments and paint buttons

side panels

seat with seat belt from Tailored Pilots

Let me know if you need a specific close up!

I like CARF planes but the cockpits are often expensive for what they are. My friend is 3D printing something a bit better.

Andrew, I'd kill to get the STL files from your friend! Trade you a very cool fender for it.... ;-). I have an SLA printer, could print these without all the lines...

Here is a sample of my cockpit instrumentation from scale-cockpits.at The work is top notch with 3 LED panels between the front and rear that operate at 6V. Side panels are equally impressive. You must supply your own instrument shrouds, ejection seats and cockpit tub.

Looks like the SU 27 is 1:6.6 scale, Do 1/6 scale pilots fit OK?

the SU is more 1:6,8 scale - for example also 1:7 Pilots look better in the cockpit than 1:6 scale...

Will proceed with 1/7 scale for cockpit. As a starting point for me to make my own cockpit tub can someone tell me the depth of the CARF cockpit tub?

Thanks

Engines and pipes in, back end wired up, wings fins and tailerons done, just need some gear to show up so I don’t need to resort to building a dolly to launch the bugger

Who are you getting gear from? Very happy with my matrix gear. Here’s a video of the nose gear https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_5EjSofDMwQ#dialog
