Gentleman, Gentleman, I'm old school and I can hardly program a VCR or what ever you kids call it today" a DVR"...lol....

I'm a Futaba fan myself, but decided to go with Spektrum systems.....

Now I post a question to anyone that has flown with slats, In an earlier post by bajajet,"that slats de-laminated during flight", I want to make this SU-27 scale as possible and flying without slats wouldn't be scale....

I have it set up now with flaps, as flaps increase they extend....i had it set up in with elevator throw, the more u pitch up, the more they extend. Both on a switch to activate the function. All modern fighters extend slats on pitch up, yes i'm aware it's computer controlled.

Suggestions welcome

And thank you guys,,,,for the kind words, much appreciated

functions video coming soon...

Making and labeling the servo wires. Reinforcing the tail cone by making former's ,so that I can place a carbon telescoping tube inside the plane. Like wing spar. Slowly but surely....

just my opinion.....I wouldn't set up your LEF / LES with elevator, as you said the real one is computer controlled and their deployment without some type of asymmetry protection ( like the real one has ) could get ugly in a hurry.

Just set them up with flap deployment. A Set movement with flap position. A little bit at half, a little bit more at full flap. Then tweak to taste with flight experience.

Also i think the SU 27 has leading edge Flaps not leading edge slats. A slat would extend away from the wing like an F100 or A4, however I could be mistaken.

A leading edge flap is simply hinged at the top of the wing. But doesn't separate from the wing. Keep up the great work, totally green with envy and looking forward to seeing it in person.

Your correct buddy , it's leading edge flap....I was just testing you guys.....i knew that....NOT....

I have it currently set up just with flaps....i'll take it slow and try them on for size, little bit at a time. Still far from the first flight...Hopefully i'll be close by the time u swing by...

Happy Thanksgiving to all.....Since i'm still working on paint and waiting for things to dry, thought I share the (IRST) system on the SU-30.

Did it out of a compact disc, I'll probably do the same for the H.U.D., It's awesome how the light gets refracted..

Any way take care guys and lets see some more pic's from other SU-27/30 pilots...Feeling like i'm hogging up the thread....

I found these pictures of CARF-Models on facebook, The fella lives in Austria, Modellbau Kager is his web page, I guess he built the jet for some one. The guy did a great job on the paint and weathering. This SU-27 is GORGEOUS....

If you notice he didn't place the 2nd seat in the cockpit...Would love to see a vid....

Painstaking labor of love, careful when flying under the tree line, you might loose it visually....happens to a friend of mine every time he comes in to land his DV-8...

I have to be careful, flying clear blue skies....lol

cloudy would be best for me....

My Apologies Derek, for late response....no i do not, since i haven't ordered it yet. It's my understanding that the gear comes from MATRIX machine tool modification corp : http://home.earthlink.net/~matrixmt/

Thanks Mav, I believe their was an issue of fitment with the earlier versions hence the delay. I'm hoping they will come before Christmas but I won't hold my breath.
