As George noted, the Ventrix weighs in at 11.5lbs out of the box, with landing gear. YT International will be the UK distribution source and a European distributor has already been established as well. Managed to find a moment today to snap a few shots...

Finally getting caught up at the shop after a very busy Florida Jets. We have received a huge amount of interest in the Ventrix and thought I would show a bit more of the fabrication detail and quality as we get it assembled and ready to demo. The Ventrix is fabricated from top quality aircraft grade laser cut Plywood, Light Ply and medium density Balsa. All ribs and formers are either Plywood or Light Ply, wings and stabs are sheeted in a medium-hard density Balsa making them stiff and durable with little concern about denting the skin when handling. Parts fitment is superb, quality spars with zero play carbon sockets. Well thought out spacious interior with easy to remove hatches, wings and stabs. Requires 7 flight control servos and one nose steering servo, 120 oz/in servos should be more than adequate all around; we will offer a discounted "Flight Package" which will include everything needed to outfit the Ventrix less TX/RX. Manual is currently being written and we will make it available for download once completed. Feedback at Florida Jets was extremely positive with many stating it was the best quality turbine powered, wood fabricated ARF Jet they have seen yet! Will get some Video posted as soon as we get it flight ready.
Todd

Hello Todd
Is that the factory gear that is mounted?
Can you provide the dimension as shown
What diameter wheels are those?

Hi Rich. Yes, this is the factory provided gear set.
The main struts are 5.25" long from trunion to axle center, the nose is 6 7/8". Main wheels are 3.5" and a 3" nose, both with bearings for axle.

Does your projected price include the factory gear?

999.00 is the ARF Airframe price. The complete factory gear set in Pneumatic, with valves, airline, fittings and tanks is expected to be around 699.00.

We have a no deposit wait list for the Ventrix building now, simply call the office and tell Linda you wish to be added. List is filling up fast for the first container!

It is ideally suited to a grass field with the trailing link undercarriage. The prototype was only ever flown off grass powered by a Kingtech 100 it coped with a short grass runway with no trouble what so ever.

Had a great day with the Ventrix on Sunday she passed her maiden with flying colours, just a shame about the retract switch ( it did not come with the kit).

A short video, still getting her completely set up, settings not far off

Can I assume that the fuse and tail area where the hot turbine gasses are expelled have been made more heat resistant in case of a hot start? That was a problem when I helped PST with the Reaction 54 but it had since been fixed.

That should work, but I wonder what the factory will use to protect the back underside and the stabs?

Questions

Do the front intakes go through to the turbine? any chances of seein pics of the path to the turbine?

Also

And chance of selling the struts without the retracts?

If so what are the pin sizes... whats the cost of just the struts?

Lander has some really beefy etracts that would be perfect for this bird

Its GREAT these guys thought of shipping by have the fuse be two piece

Thx in advance for any input
