DL MB339 turbine (cica 2002)
Did the final checks and set up last night for a local friend. I sold this kit back in 2002 to a mutual friend, who never started it. Dave B started in turbines 12 months ago with an Xcalibur and is using this as a next step.
I flew a few of them back in the day with P-80's (even one with a P-120!) This one has a P-100Rx, so is quite a bit lighter than the early models.
JR XG-11 DMSS and JR servos throughout. Spring Air retracts.Test fly later this month.
Not scale but still a good looking aeroplane!

Dave,
A mate of mine had one with 80N. It was a blast to fly and very smooth. Ground effect was tricky but managed with a bit of practice. After over a decade of flying, the horizontal stab came loose at the root joints with the fuse. Started to wiggle around on one of his flights. That is the only reason he retired it.
Cheers!

Yep, one of my close friends managed to scuff the -outside- of the tip tanks on a landing that went a bit wrong! Other than a bent leg it flew that day again :-)
