As promised, John has started the photo flood of awesome pictures he took throughout the event. No doubt, many of you will be able to copy and paste pictures of your favorite model to use as back grounds on your PCs!!!!
Before we get too far out from the event I wanted to jump in and say how appreciative we are that so many pilots showed up to make this years First in Flight a huge success. Our so called "Casual Wednesday" is not so casual anymore!!! lol We had 73 registered pilots on the first day, and the flight line was FULL all day! We cant even guess how many flights were put in over the five days of flying. Hundreds,,,maybe thousands. We just don't know! And as expected the pilot count kept climbing all week. We past 100 on Thursday Friday added another 20 or so with more to come on Saturday. And it wasn't just the model pilots that showed up in force. At one point on Saturday it looked like an EAA fly in down by the hangers and FBO office. Probably more full scale traffic on Friday and Saturday than the airport usually sees in six months! It was all good though and you guys put on a helluva show for pilots and public. The Saturday evening pilots dinner went great as well. Several very deserving pilots awards were handed out and we again crowned a new First in Flight "Wright Stuff" recipient. I'm sure John will be posting those pictures soon as he sorts through literally thousands of shots he took.
I certainly want to send out a big " Thank You" to all of the First in Flight Jets members that devoted so much time to setting up the venue, working throughout the week to run the event, and those that showed up Monday morning to begin tearing down, cleaning up and restoring the airport grounds to its sleepy state it began from 9 days prior. As most of you know it takes a lot of work to put on such a great event. These guys gave up vacation, comp time, or time with their families to make all this happen. In all there were 17+ guys working to make this years event the best ever. Thanks guys,,,,, You did an awesome job.
And speaking of awesome job! How about the pilots that were filling the skies all week!!!!! Countless flights, awesome flying and tons of smiles and camaraderie. That's what First in Flight is about guys. Being with friends and having a great time. A big thanks to all that came out and put on such a great show. You guys are the best of the best. So sit back, enjoy the photos, and keep checking in as John continues to post more of his amazing photos. See you guys at the next jet meet!!

The new Fly Eagle clipped wing Hawk made its first appearance at FIF, its still has some bugs to be worked out but this is fly eagles 49th attempt at new construction. I talked to the rep about how there where going to address this a he said " All Large Hawks will now ship with on board fire suppression system and 3 free large trash bags.
