JPO Top Gun Trophy
I visited the Warbirds Classic at Monticello, IL Saturday....a beautiful day with the sky full of vintage warbirds.
Ali Machinchy had to leave R-66 shortly before the Awards Ceremony so I delivered the JPO Top Gun Trophy.
He was gracious enough to take his F-104 out of the hanger for a couple of pictures.

Hey Jason, man that certainly a gorgeous ship plus you make it appear so realistic with your flying skills.
It's gotts be some what emotional to put it on the market but most all seem to want bigger & as a senior citizen bigger is better ! ! !
Anyway your gratitude for the photos should be addressed to Jerry Crow as they are from his stash.
Hope to see you Okies soon....maybe the Fall Classic...

300 Middle School Students Attend "RT 66 Jets":
On Friday of the event approximately 300 local middle school students were bussed to the event in three sessions of 100 each 6th, 7th, & 8th graders. I'd especially like to thank Lance Campbell for his outstanding effort in presenting & relating to the students the hobby of model jets and how math and science are related to aeronautics. He not only made it fun but educational for them. Who knows, there may have been a future pilot or aeronautical engineer among them. I'd also like to thank Ryan & Todd Robertson who spoke to the students as well, and Ryan performed his impressive helicopter routine.

ah, more pics of the silver tape F16 . BVM tells me that they are redesigning the new canopy so it won't come open during flight. I'm still waiting for the replacement canopy and expect it will be fixed soon. In the meantime, I'll continue to fly this fantastic jet as is. Damn those pics of me though. LOL, getting older and fatter. Life could be worse right?!
