8th Annual Plum Island Jet Rally, A little over 2 week away
8th Annual Plum Island Jet Rally
June 16th - 19th at Plum Island Airport in Newbury, MA
We will offer 4 days of un-restricted flying in a laid back environment. Fly As much or little as you’d like.
Camping at the airport is welcome. and, as always, it is Free! Sorry no camper hookups.
Campers may arrive on Wednesday June 15th after 12:00pm. If an earlier time is necessary please contact CD so someone will be there.
Flying will start a 9:00AM and end at 4:00pm Thursday – Sunday; Small electrics are allowed to fly Wednesday after 12pm and Thursday-Sunday after 4:00pm, as long as you have a spotter (Airport will be open to full scale aircraft). Test flights and waiver flights will be permitted with CD approval. Tent space will be available, please contact Larry Roper (Of Boomerang R/C Jets USA) at 781-254-6351 for pricing and availability.
Come and join us for our pot luck dinner on Saturday night. Just bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy!
Thursday thru Saturday we will be having our fire pit blazing for your added enjoyment and relaxation!! The Airport will have Hotdogs and Hamburg’s for sale on Saturday and Sunday only so plan ahead for food on Thursday and Friday.
Local attractions include Historic Newburyport with shopping and fine restaurants. Beach goers have Plum Island reservation along with Salisbury beach, and of course Hampton beach. The Newburyport Whale Watch boat will be running.
Entry fee will be $40.00 and 2.4GHZ only
