i just don't see the 4lbs of thrust being worth the 200$ the wight is around 8 oz difference
I mean if you put them side by side
the K140
Diameter: 112.6 mm (4.43")
Length: 270mm ( 10-1/2” )
Weight: 1650 g ( 3lb. 10oz. )
RPM Range: 33,000 - 123,000 RPM
Thrust: 14 kg - 15° C ( 31 lbs @ 59° F. )
EGT: 700°C max
Fuel consumption: 400g / min ( 14.1 oz / min )
And the K160
Diameter: 103mm ( 4.055" )
Length: 260 mm ( 10.23" )
Weight: 1460 g ( 3lb. 3.5oz. )
Maximum RPM: 130000
Thrust: 16 KG @ 15°C (35lb @ 59°F )
EGT: 700°C max
Fuel consumption: 490g / min ( 17.28oz / min )
if that's a $200 difference to you then hey go for it but for me i say thats 200 doller more for fuel i can have to fly on

JoeJr1485,. Ok can see your point 100% but if that's the case why not just go with the k210. Now at this point I'm going overboard yes but I guess it's all how you look at it thanks for your input....and time in replying

HAHA yeah. I guess those are just some of the things that I look for. I am right their with you in getting into jets. I am fairly new into jets but I have to say that a lot of the guys on here have helped and guided me in the right direction. I have learned a ton from them and I hope I can do the same as they have for me. In the end there is nothing wrong with the K140G. Like I said I am very very please with mine. Starts and runs great! Not sure if you seen the other thread about the new GSU they are going to be putting out for KingTechs but they look awesome. I am currently running my 140 with the Xicoy flight computer as well as the GPS and it awesome. Happy hunting for your jet. Please let us know which one you go with.

To add to the turbine conversation, if you already have a K140 then yeah its a no brainer. Also it really depends on what your jet will be, its my experience the weight saving plus more thrust is a plus. Being able to fly around at half throttle vs 3/4 will require less fuel on board which equals even less weight. That being said if your jet high end thrust range is 31lbs then go for it and as much as it pains me to say this 200.00 as you will see is nothing in jets. I wish it wasn't so and prices not so high but that's how jets are. Good luck if I can help just shoot me a PM, cheers!
Oh and for scale jets if that's what you decide on the F-16 is probably the best scale jet to learn on, plus lots of them around for info. They land pretty slow and don't have really any bad tendencies, the only thing I found on mine was cross wind landings are a bit tough due to the small stance in gear and the rudder isn't as effective at landing speeds. Once I saw how speeding up my landing with a crosswind worked it wasn't a problem.

Checkout a recent post by Jetfreak310 in the Event section of this Forum. Evidently he has a very nice flying site (175 acres- 400' x 100' paved runway, etc) which is suitable for jets and asking for help.
