This is my T-1 in the UK, I test flew it this past weekend on a very cold windy day.
This had to be the easiest test flight I have made, very little trimming needed and only a few clicks for each flap setting.
landing was a breeze just came off the throttle and let the plane settle on to the runway, no noticeable wing rock and touched down nice and slow.
I have a Cortex Pro on board but haven't connected it up yet and it definitely didn't need it.
So we'll have to see whether I'll use it or not.

Gunradd,
if you don’t mind me asking, what are you’re throw settings and the cortex settings?
Thanks.

Hey fellow T1 owners. I’m finished with my build, and would really like to add lights. Does anyone here have some pictures of how they installed their lights? Really super apprehensive about cutting into a wing for nav light install, but would take the plunge with some virtual hand holding. Ready to maiden next week!

thanks,

Tom

Had another maiden at the North field in North Las Vegas today. Not mine but the owner was very happy with it.

Unfortunately, that's the way it works these days. There are so many color schemes and/or options, it's just not practical for folks to keep stock of the turbine models. That is one reason the freight is so spendy anymore, they come air freight from the manufacturer, not slow boat like they used to when dealers kept more stock.

This thread sure is quiet, but after getting my first flights on my T1 I understand why. Everyone is busy flying there jet. All I can say is wow what a jet it is. Well worth any wait for this jet.

Worst yet, the tariffs probably will make my purchase now completely impossible. Very sad.

I have looked at the list of 800 products on the Tariff list that President Trump has imposed. I do not have a law degree but my first impression is, Our President is going after Billions of dollars worth of big manufacturing items and our small hobby is not on the radar of the Tariff's. It mostly talks about big steel trade, oil/fuels, airliners and jet engines rated in KN, auto industry, trains, farm equipment and produce products, rubber, mass produced and imported things like washer, dryers, refrigerators and such. Now the only problem I see is because airliners and jet engines are on the list, it now becomes a letter of the law and translations. Some inspector might see a model airplane and constitute it as an airliner and bing that box at that time for a tax. I think if all the factory's label the box as toy models or toy model parts, those are not on the list to be hit with a Tariff. Hopefully we still fall under the radar and we can enjoy our jets at an affordable price.

The USA has never had any kind of import tariff on model airplanes or their parts. In the case of the Turbines, it's such a small chink of the marketplace that I'm betting most people, including politicians, don't have a clue that Turbine powered model airplanes exist.

While there is always the chances that someone will notice as Dirk says, let's just keep our fingers crossed and our mouths shut 'till we see what happens...

I know many of you T-1 owners opted to not use the nose door. Let me know if you want to sell it to me. Mine is somewhere in the woods I have the red Coke scheme but any door will do.
Thanks

Going to call them tomorrow but don't know how long the wait will be. If I have to I'll fabricate one but I'm looking for a quick fix.

I just got one in a week, actually the replacement is better than the one that came with the plane. The door is reinforced from the back making a better fit.
