It took me just about 3 hours from start to finish and well worth the check. On a side note, the allen bolt heads are soft and will strip easily if not careful.

Thank you again,

Do you know the size of the bolts they use? I need to do this to my T1, but while doing it I want to replace with much better bolts. If the bolt heads are soft then usually that means the rest of the metal is soft as well.

T-1 arrived magically with zero notification. Now the shopping list begins. STD servos?

Sirrom,

I am not sure of the size on them. The thread pitch is different than the metrics I get from RTL Fasteners. Just pull one out and have a look. You will need to take the rear fuse off to get to the fin/rudder bracket bolts. It took me about 3 hours total.

I only messed with the ones that were not glued in. I did not want to chance stripping the heads out.

What Savox servos did you folks decide on? Those whom are flying them. Savox has a ton with all different specs. I would like to use the 7.4 volt types. SV-1270TG is what I am leaning towards to.

I am using Savox SC-1256tg on Flaps and Elevators and SC-0251mg on everything else. I am running 6.6 volt rx packs. So far all has been good.

I've had several Savox servos fail; two on the bench and one in flight, on the elevator. Luckily I was able to get my T-1 down without turning it into a smoking hole in the ground; but it was a tense situation that caused some damage. They were all 0251s. The first I figured was my fault and I over amped it screwing up the set up stage (not sure how, but it'sbetter to assume operator error). The second was never connected to anything but a servo tester and fried the motor; I figured it was a fluke. The elevator servo had about 300 minutes of flight time on it before failing in the air. After a bit of research I will be replacing all the 0251 servos with another model or brand.

I have used all Hitec digital servos in several of my past jets. The reason I began using them is that I have the programmer for them. Maybe I should not change what's working.

Keep in mind during the sale T1 got flooded with orders. When over 40 planes are ordered all in a span of a week things get backed up. Just because let’s say 10 planes are ordered on a Monday they are not going to have 10 planes pop out at the same day later. They are pumping them out though.

I’m sure they paint them not as they are ordered but according to a color schedule, today we are painting all the red and white ones, tomorrow Red Bull’s.. etc..

They are worth the wait, they are the highest quality composite airframe I’ve ever seen when it comes to fit and finish, as soon as it comes out of the box you will forget about the wait.

I’m already thinking about my next plane from T-one.

Do yourself a favor and order the wiring harness and servo package Pacific offers. That way you don't have to doubt anything.

That's for the Mini T-1. I have the T-1. I really don't want to wait 8 weeks. But thanks anyway.

Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been on RCU lately, but I have been buried with turbine repairs, orders and my day job. The T-1 wire harness is in stock and you don't have to wait 8 weeks. Speaking of waiting 8 weeks, I have said this many times in this forum, If anyone wants a refund because you think this is taking to long, please call, email or text and tell me about it and I will issue you a full refund with in 10 minutes of your request!! I am tired of getting calls from friends and customers telling me some guys are complaining/*****ing on RCU that they are tired of waiting or I am not calling you on a regular basis to tell you I have no updates. AGAIN, pick up your phone and CALL me and I will issue you a full refund. *****ing on RCU is not going to make your jet show up any sooner, it is what it is and it will get here when it is completed. If you want the factory to rush your order, let me know and I will have them blow it out as fast as they can, but when the paint job sucks, the fit and finish doesn't line up, it has missing glue joints or missing parts or when your jet blows apart in flight, I don't want to hear *****ing about the poor quality because we rushed them to make short cuts just to make you happy with immediate gratification of getting your new jet. Instead of *****ing here on RCU, why don't you be more productive and share your builds, ideas and all the cool set ups a lot of our customers have done? The new guys waiting for your jet, browse through this thread and you will find a lot of very skilled guys that have done some very trick set ups. Ask questions, as there are many on here are willing to give you the answers and advice you are looking for. If I am not mistaken, this is why RCU was built, to share ideas and post your own builds and most importantly learn from others more skilled than you. We all can learn something new everyday!! Again, I don't come to RCU everyday to see what you guys are writing, so call, text or email me if you need answers, help, have comments or complaints.

Sheesh,

Dirk

I have the wing bag and the T-1 wire harness in the Pacific RC Jet basket ready for checkout. Was wondering when will they make a fuselage bag for the T-1. I see they have a mini T-1 fuselage/wing bag package. Unless I am looking in the wrong area, I don’t see one.
