Get on it lol. I built the prototype in 3 days

BTW its got 72 flights logged now! Also let some other club members fly it and they all loved it. Later in the day I saw a friend take his viper jet out to the runway and was taking pics I was like what are you doing? He said putting this on RCU so I can get a T1 lol.

So the plane showed up yesterday, the landing gear showed up Monday. My first recommendation is for touch up paint. I have a large chip in the nose but everything else is perfect. Everything in the box including the gear weighs in at 18 lbs even. They even give you the allen wrenches to assemble it with!

My gear came today! It is well packaged.

The gear looks good. I have only used Sierra gear in my builds so I exspect good stuff, this looks good.

I will look at the gear and see if it needs modification as gunradd mentioned. Could be that the cylinders are to small and can't push the pin out of the grove in the up position, may just need higher tank pressure!

I realy like the steering servo mount, it looks like the steering pin is diferent then what I have seen, maybe pull pull

The struts look good to. I like the trailing linkage. The wheels are stiff and the hub is nice.

The mains look good and I love that they come with gear door mounts. Two per strut.

The struts are nice and the strut is held with to bolts.

The wheels are strong and the hub and break look good.

I am pleased with the gear so fare.

Announcement,

Bad news, Good news,

After all the improvements that we asked the factory to implement into the U.S. version T-1, We are going to have a small price increase effective September 1st. I have spoke to many about the T-1 and the question has come up often about a price increase. Those of you that have received their T-1, can see the quality and attention to detail of the construction from our factory is second to none. We are happy to announce, that the price is only increasing $130.00 for a New price of $1,890.00, plus the $300 shipping for North America customers. If you are in South America, or anywhere else and want a T-1, the price is same for you, but the shipping is increased to $440.00. All T-1's will be shipped via EMS and the gear is shipped separately via DHL. There will be NO CC or PayPal fees charged to you for using the website payment features. With all that being said, Make your purchase before the September 1st price increase. Our delivery time has been pushed to 5-6 weeks due to the volume of sales. The factory has been keeping up with the building of the T-1, but the paint dept is not rushing to get a unit out the door. As some of you can attest, the paint jobs are absolutely excellent and should not be rushed.

Best Regards,

Dirk

We have talked about the plug & play version in the future. We have to give the factory a chance to get geared up and have production running smoothly before we throw the PNP version at them. Keep in mind, PNP versions require good finish builders to continue the factories high standards as well as ours for a finished product. I would also hate to take all the fun of building away from you, LOL. I personally want them to focus on building us a quality plane, at affordable prices and bring us more products, like the Eurofighter & F-22 Barry has mentioned. Who knows, there might even be a bigger version of the T-1 in the future.

Regards,

Dirk

Dirk,

Can you list the changes/improvements that have been made? I understand that you've gone to double horns but don't know what else has been changed.

Also- just to confirm- You are saying that if you purchase before Sept 1 that your plane will have these improvements included and at the $1760 price?

Thanks

The pipe is better made now. Double horns. Long horns on the flaps. Thicker bulkheads for the vertical and horizontal stabs. Extra carbon fiber in hte rear section.

Those are just the ones I see looking at peoples pics comparing them to the prototype I have.

Agree with Gunradd, the improvements are great! I have one of the improved models and the work/upgrades are superb. I cant really find any issues at this point except that I now need more room for the orange and silver one lol... Even with the price bump to $1890 this thing is still a bargain!

I cant wait to see the Eurofighter.

The landing gear rails and the ribs support these are all upgraded to thicker 6mm aircraft ply with carbon fiber, as well as full span carbon reinforced wings.

Looks like there will be a few flying in the area, Gary wants to get one too, Jimmy will be next. Glad I got a custom scheme so I won't have twins fallowing me around the sky's

you will have yours in no time Ronnie, in the meantime you can fly mine!

Hi Dirk,

Should a larger T-1 ever become a reality… Possibly consideration could be taken into making a three-piece wing design? Where the wing comes apart outside of the main landing gear , and the center section remains attached to the fuselage.

Here are a few pics. One pic shows how I dremeled the hump on the gear up lock. If you use electronic valves I would add a restrictor to slow these down. I think them slamming up and down is what caused them to sometimes not come down. Since the restrictor and shaving the hump down I have had no problems.

Also added a pic of the BVM airline connectors. All I do now is slide the wing on and its done. No more messing around with the airlines. This was a huge pain to install though so I hope it pays off lol.

Because of this plane now my son got his turbine waiver on it last week and hes already bit with the jet bug and wants a jet for Christmas.........

Also let a friend buddy box on it over the weekend and he has since sold his viperjet and ordered a T1 and the new smaller K140 So all you people that are on the fence and want to see one in person first just get it lol. Its not to good to be true.
