i know you have flown it with a 170, just want to know how it performed with one.
170 isn't to bad. Crow and allot of flap helps.

With the 210 it will almost fly at idle. Its a challenge to get it down with it.

Door is all done short of painting the inside black, I will do that when I do the mains.

Started to fit the internal equipment, air tanks are going under the fuel tank. One large for the gear and two small for the breaks.

Not sure if I will cut the door even though it won't close 100% at the front.
Air cylinder has more strok then needed so I set it at max open and when it closes its still pulling.

The way I set my hinges is with the door closed I lay the hinges in to where I want them then tack them in with CA. I can always break them loos if I need to adjust. Once I like them I drill holes then bolt them.

The block for the cylinder is tacked in with epoxy and I will hit it with aero poxy later, might even run a couple screws threw.

I still need to adjust the door by shimming the hing as once it closes it locks in and binds.

The he door is removable.

Which cylinder are you using for the door?

Ordering mine (Navy Jolly Roger) regular tank, just cant justify that much for a split tank, soon VERY EXCITED. Even though there is a wait. That will give me time to get the rest of my internals. Too bad the Boomerang buyer flaked

I ended up with batteries all around nose gear and under the canopy. The inside of nose cone is all empty.

Has anyone pre balance the fuse by the wing tube? In the past builds I can do a pre balance as I setup the interior eqiupment and then do final balance with the wing and CG stand! My gues is if it is tail heavy on the tube its tail heavy. It gives you a decent mesure of what you need to move around as you install it.

Guys, If you want to order the newer larger tank while your plane is still on order, it really is very easy, just call Dirk, he can invoice you for the tank. I called and ordered it last night, quick and easy. I have read some folks crying about the price, get over it, they are not raking us on the price. It is a larger Custom fit built Kevlar tank with an secondary tank on top of it, for smoke or even more fuel if you choose. The tank comes with good hardware as well, screw in fittings and bungs, with Elbows, the hardware alone will cost over 60$ at any place you can find it. I can hardly wait to get mine, I seen Clays Ferrari scheme jet in person at our jet rally last week, it is beautiful Inside and Out. There is not a jet on the market that can compare to this one even close to the price. Thats my .02

got my tams pipe today, it's well made but smaller in diameter so some fitting is in order. I don't have my engine yet so lets see how those of you that do are mounting them.

Make carbon fiber tabs to mount the pipe. Tams pipes have short tabs to limit flexing. This is normal..

My plan at the moment is to make a new ring for the rear of the pipe similar to the one for the original pipe, and mounting it on the original mount. that will hold the rear, but with no engine yet i can't do much at the front of the pipe where the tabs are going to mount.
