Since my Boomerang buyer flaked.....no surprise there.....I'm taking the Boomerang to Madera, Ca. for the jet show next weekend. Maybe I'll get lucky. Not like I'm asking a fortune for it..... pardon the pun.

29-1/2" but could be longer depending on the engine used.

Yet to see any flight video of any of the new T-ones besides the prototype, my guess is there all still being built. Mine should be ready for October.

TB,
Went to the End of Summer flyin in Ocala about 10 days ago and got to see Gunradd fly his. It is a great looking plane in the air and on the ground. He unfortunately had engine problems with the engine that was in it and had to swap a K210 into his to do a few flights so I could see how it flew. With a 210 in it the thing jumped off the ground in about 10 feet. For the few flights I did get to see, it is very easy to see in the air and flys very slow because with the 210 residual thrust he had to kill the engine to get it to land. Unfortunately my DSlr only does stills and not video or else I would have shot video of his flights.

Get some video of it. I think there are a number of people that would like to know if their 100's are really enough.

A 100 is enough depending on how you like or want to fly. I have seen same airframes fly with different sized turbines and they all flew well, some even better with the smaller engines, if your a 15' take off guy strait up then 140+ , if your wanting general sports flying I can see 100 being just fine, you got to think fuel consumption and flight time too. Just my thoughts as a turbine rookie!
Also it would be good to see how other beginners do with this frame as we all know the top gun guys can make anything look good.

K-100 is excellent! Plenty of power for anything in the book except vertical acceleration.

Default Satellite placement

Question for you guys in the know!

I am using the Spectrum AR12120-12ch reciever with 4 satellites. I have never used Spectrum before. What would the best placement of the satellites be on this jet.

Im thinking one upfront above the CF equipment trays (R) (I have two trays) and one under the tray (L). Then the same in the back, one above the tray (L) and one below (R)

Just seams logical but I'm asking you guys in the know, thanks.

Keep them away from any carbon fiber trays or bulkheads. Carbon fiber is bad for TX/RX signal and is signal blocker per say. Spectrum has a recommended 45° angle method for there RX positions. You should be able to find it on there site im sure.

Everything you need to know about placement, John Redman did a great job describing how to orient them.

How do those V1 valves work with brake? On off or you have it set to proportional? Does it use alotnof air that way?

Tomy want to donsame as you with split nose door. Did you use a servo to actuate the front dooor? Or just zip tie to the front strut? Can you post a pic with the gear down looking into the front door??

I use the on/off valve for the brakes. I simply just slide the lever as needed, The brakes don't tend to lock up. That's my ABS system LOL

For the nose door i use an air actuator and push button air valve that the nose gear presses when retracted. When i have long curved nose doors this is the method i prefer as it can be difficult to hinge and get to work smoothly. You also want your servo/Door cylinder at the front of the nose door to keep it from opening in flight. The 2 peace door seems to correct this issue. you can put something on the front door and use a black rubber band around the strut to keep the door closed when the gear is up and not in flight.

WimB

That is the V1 pipe. I actually prefer pipes without the large bell mouth and it makes setup easier in my opinion. I'm super happy with the Tam pipe.

Thats exactly the same setup i have. When you get a chance send a pic of how you setup the front door of the nose gear.
