What turbine size is everyone using in the T-one? I'm looking at 140 or 160, I would like power to take of from grass?

Sean is using a K100 from grass. So I would say K140 would be perfect. Also the 140 in mine is unlimited vertical right on takeoff even with smoke full.

Under the fuel tank.

Takes a little sanding of the former at the bottom but both tanks fit just fine under the fuel tank tray. You do have to cut out the center support.

Jim,

The retracts are very efficient and you really don't need that large tank. The 8" long 345CC tank is more than enough, unless you plan on cycling your gear the entire flight. lol

Thanks Tony and Dirk. I have a large tank on hand, so 3D printed a mount for it and am planning to put on top of the fuel tank for now. May change things later.

Anyone has the measurements done and flown for the T-One using the Xicoy CG meter? Mine is looking at 990mm between nose and mains, and CG is 100mm from mains to equate to a 230mm-ish CG position from root LE. Looking to affirm these figures.

Nervous with my own measurements, my last plane took off aft CG so some self doubts here whether I got it right.

TIA

230mm is in the ball park but a bit on the nose heavy side. 235 really seems to be a good spot for most T1's

I would like to know what size of air cylinder are you using for the front gear door?

I'm guessing most are using what they have on hand, that's what I did! You don't need a lot of stroke. More strok is better then less as you set the door at full open with full extended strok on the cylinder. When closed the cylinder does not have to bottom out. I'm guessing 1-1/2" to 2" stroke.

Sean has been working on some drop tanks for the T1. Would be a nice addition. Look for them on strictlyscale.com when he gets them ready.

So happy.......... had one on order since Jetpower, but wasn't even confirmed yet.... canceled my order, and stumbled across a reseller in Luxemburg who had this one.... transferred the money and was on my doorstep 3 days later!!!

When are you hoping to have in the air? That's one of the better colour schemes IMO

Hey Alan,

given the level of prefabrication I'm pretty sure you could get it in the air in a week.... however i'm not in a rush to get it done, especially since I like to do my builds véry thoroughly... building the wiring loom alone can take me up to a week....
My goal is to have it ready for next season, once the weather starts getting better (or warmer... ;-) . I don't do much jet flying in during the winter....

Got a few more flights in, no issues this time and my new UP6 valve worked great.

Feeling more confident in the jet so opened her up a bit, I'm still noes heavy as inverted she drops the noes and needs a little forward stick to fly level so I will move the flight packs back one at a time. Fuel consumption is good as after a 6min flight I have half a tank left after shut down. So I'm flying with a bit of fuel forward of the CG too.

Here is a video from earlier today.

Tony

Was the landing a little fast or is it the video just making it look fast from that angle?
Flight looked super smooth!

When I am in the turn on final I'm at 50mph and I have cut the power into the turn, there was no wind, not to hot but it will fly slower, and I do land slower then this flight.

Here is the first flight of the day.
