On the UP3 valve its so important to have the linkage in line with the shuttle, the offset puts a side load on it and there is more chance of a leak, or wear on the O rings. You look like it was set up for 2 x clevis.
Just an observation

Yes, looks a little off in the picture but there is no binding. Valve was from my used stock and the hole is slightly enlarged. Thanks for the input though. I love UP valves, I never have problems with them, knock on wood !!

Let us know if the air cylinder is enough to keep that large door closed when you fly her

yes, it is a BVM cylinder, have 18 flights now, no issues as long as you get the geometry right. Simple installation using the two hinges supplied with T-one. Hard to see in the picture but the door is also stiffened with a 1/32 ply laminate.

So back to my gear issues. Does anyone know who makes the gear? Currently parts are not available short of getting a whole complet set (witch I may have to do!). My issue as of late is the springs on the mains have lost there "spring", at rest the gear will no longer hold the plane up, the gear is compressed all the way and if you lift the wings they will rebound but once you start to roll they collapse and bottom out and won't rebound.

I took the the right side apart as it is the worst. The spring is .310 O.D. and 2.77" long.

The amount that the strut moves inside the main post is about 1/2" so the spring does not compress much until the strut bottoms out. I added a 3/8" extension spring to pre load the spring for now but that is just a temp fix.

I am working with Century Spring Co. out of California to get a custome replacment sring with a bit more holding strength.

Once I get the correct size that works I will post it here, and I should have a few sets extra for other T-1 owners.

That's the nipple that points strait down into the rib and pinches. You will have to grind that rib down with a dermal. Or find a 90 to replace it, let us know if you find one!

I think the 1/6 MNPT x 5/64 barb what you "might" require, check Zoro.

Zoro is good, I just got 15% off my turbine oil from them by adding a small item to the order.

It's been a while since I posted an update... So here's one!

I'm a bit slow when it comes to building (or assembling) but some progress has been made. Mainly I've been 3D printing various bits. This is a bit time consuming as I have to design the bit, print it, test fit it, modify the design, print it again, test it again, etc, etc. Printing with a $500 DIY Chinese printer is not the fastest. ;-)

Anyway, here's some pics on what's been done.

So here is the latest factory news, hot off the press!!

The factory has finally completed the move and is gearing up the production line. The new factory paint booth was not up to standards and was unfortunately found out too late and a few airframes were lost because of it. I was very impressed that they did not try to salvage them and let an inferior plane leave the factory. I was just as sad, as that put us further behind once again. Barry, myself and the factory, would like to thank everyone that has paid orders for being patient and understanding all the delays we have encountered. We will pick up sending orders in the que as they were placed. The factory hired another Master Painter and they are training new employees to help increase production. I know everyone reading this, has assembled or actually scratch built a plane and knows training new people to build a plane is not an overnight feat. Our quality WILL NOT be compromised from new employees, as they are under strict supervision. Anyone that has touched, flown or saw a T-1, knows this plane is SO WORTH THE WAIT!! With that being said, our offer still stands, anyone with a paid order that does not want to wait, please let me know and I will refund your $$ within the hour. Before you all bombard me with "when is my plane going to be done" questions, let's let the factory get producing for a week or two so I can get a pulse on production and forecast a true delivery date for you.

Regards,

Dirk
